I would sell Ripple and Iota, they are overvalued. You can buy more Neo and Omg or you can add Zrx and Kmd to your portfolio. These coins didn't make their big moves yet. It's easy to pick coins that already priced but you can't make good money with them. If you find unhyped coin that has potential you can make more money.

Hello,

Well, I'm currently looking at investing 2k Cad funds in alts. Actually have a couple thousands in BTC and it's doing great.

I'm torn between those projects:

-XRP
-IOTA
-OMG
-NEO

open to other suggestions.

looking for a good return (I know it's speculation) for short term (3-4 months).

What would be your pick(s)?
THanks!

Personally not XRP and not IOTA, both are quite dodgey, in fact ripple isn't even a true cryptocurrency. IOTA seem to be promising things that aren't true. Plus both have pumped massively of late so they're unlikely to have a further pump in them. The other two should perform reasonably well I would guess.

I agree with this apart from where you said ripple itsn't a true cryptocurrency. It isn't but why does that effect its value? Something should be valuable because of its use not because it sits in a category, thats the whole reason bitcoin became popular in the first place.

In your list I consider ripple as a good investment the other three is you need to analyze and take a long time to observe its price in marketcap so you can estimate how will it dump and pump their price. Ripple I recomend.

I am really drawn towards ethlend. They just started to trade on Binance.
Lending has always been big business worldwide and using coins as a collateral in order to secure a loan within a few seconds, versus applying at a bank filling out tons of papers has a certain appeal for me.

XRP is almost the only crypto that has a real use case, working product and great partners behind. Its basically ready to take off.
Since we are talking about investment and not personal feeling, the motivations need to be backed by facts
Among the selection I would really go for XRP and IOTA which we do recently they do made such moves in the market which do signifies that theres really a strong support among these 2 altcoins. Another 2 coins isn't bad either but basing on ranking or on selection then xrp and iota for me. If I do have $2k then 50-50 allocation on both coins. Store it on wallet then forget it and hold it for long term for sure it would pays off.

for 3-4 months I would broaden the coins you want to invest in if you wanna get big gains, those are solid coins but not neccesarily the growth you're looking for.

I have doubts about ripple position. It is great coin when you don't look into details but its centralized nature somekinda kills the purpose of having valuable coin. I liked your other choices. Consider omisego too.
