Hi, I am trying to tag my wallet via this page:  https://blockchain.info/tags

To do so, I need to get a signature which I'm supposed to get after writing a message via more options in my address.

Only problem is, I do not have an imported address, just a new wallet, so writing a message option isn't available.  Please see screen shot: http://www.k9-rescue.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/bit_address1.jpg

So, if I've understood all of that correctly, and I don't have an imported address, yet the tag option requires a signature, and won't accept the form without it - where does that leave me please?

Being a charity, I would like to tag my wallet, so it clearly shows the name of our charity in the wallet address.

Thank you in advance
Michelle

easy way: import an address and use it as your default wallet address
and you might want to import vanity address to make it look even nicer, for eg. 1K9Res...
or you can try tag your address by having your address on your website and submitting the link page

hard way: use tool https://github.com/iancoleman/bip39 preferably done offline, download and run it locally
use the wallet recovery phrase to extract private key of the specific address in your wallet
then you need to use other tool to sign message with that private key,
or maybe try import it back into blockchain wallet and sign it there

Try to generate an address online at greenaddress or bitaddress as paper wallets, then you can import any of the keys you get there to your wallet and then it will probably turn into your main address. Keep your private key at a safe place as well in order to have your safe side because if blockchain goes offline (sometimes, they run maintenance due to which users suffer), you will have your key on hands to either sweep away your coins or use it on another wallet. After you import your key, you will get an option that will allow you to sign a message, which you will need to put there in order to verify that it's your wallet and you are done.
