128.2569443 MEC from a cancelled order has dissapeared from my account. What the hell is going on?
I had this issue some days before. It lasted only a minute, then the coins of the canceled trade showed up in my account. I believe it is a staging process that is interrupted for security reasons, let them solve the issue first.

Yes, they showed up after half an hour.

Thanks for update John. You and Vern are cool and helpful guys, but the thing is exhange is a unstable crap! And that argument "... We are growing fast every day" doesnt hold water because you should expand and prepare for incoming growth fast. And you should also fire the DDOS protection folks, they are doing shitty job about it! Shut the exchange down rewrite the engine from a scratch, if you dont know how give someone money to do that for you. It would pay off for you guys fast. Delays, Laggs, Bugs, Shutdowns, Logouts, 502 Errors, its getting on the peoples nervs..

I'm fine with Cryptsy as long as my assets are secure, not as with vircurex. From technical point of view I'm sure it's not trivial, and this exchange is rather new. Take your time.

People get so butthurt.

Seeing as how there's no other exchange for that many alt-coins (except Coins-e, which has no volume at all), you can either keep your mouth shut and deal with the issues that pop up once in a while with Cryptsy, or you can get the fk out and sell your coins elsewhere.

Everyone keeps throwing a shit whenever Cryptsy gets DDoS'd, etc., but then they all go back an hour later and dump their altcoins there.

If you hate Cryptsy so much, go make your own goddamn exchange and stop whining like little fucking bitches.

Good day.

Just a suggestion to think about:

Cryptsy's been DoS to death the past few days, making it a real PITA to do any type of business there.

You're telling us that you're working with your "DDoS protection folks" to resolve this issue?! Perhaps the best resolution would be to hire some new "DDoS protection folks". Looks like the folks you're using now are cashing the checks and then going home for the day.

If their sole job is to protect the site from DDoS....well...clearly they aren't holding up their end of the bargain.

I dont have problems with "....issues that pop up once in a while". Only its NOT once in a while.
I dont wanna shut up when some service that holds part of my money goes offline and doesnt allow me to use them and make profit/trade.. Sure I would love to switch the exchange when they are messed up like Cryptsy is. But there is not much oppurtunity out there ATM, except MCXNOW that is 101% rock stable. When PXC, DGC/ARG and other exchanges open up I will move on.

Cryptsy should just accept reality, that people are going to continue DDOS them every single day, and there is nothing they can do to change that! Howerver they can built up new DDOS protection like McxNow and sit down and enjoy like Real Solid does  Wink

Lol...hopefully this message isn't approved by BigVern and the crew.

Of course it's easy to be shitty to customers when competition is low and they have very few options. However, crypto is really skyrocketing (I can't believe it honestly)...the amount of people participating now is incredible compared to just a few short months ago. Won't be long before the competition really heats up over where people choose to do their exchanges.

In another 3-6 months we'll probably see a dozen or more decent exchanges pop up. I don't think it would behoove any exchange owner to get cocky toward customers at this point in time.

Then keep your coins in your wallet and only move them when you want to sell/buy.

And honestly, you don't think other exchanges get DDoS'd as well? Both Gox and BTC-e went down due to DDoS attacks. Even Mcxnow went down for an hour or two.

If Cryptsy wanted to be shitty towards their customers, then they wouldn't even have bothered to get DDoS protection.

And no, everything I say is in my own personal opinion, but I'm so tired of reading rage posts. Half this thread is people crying and raging.

All I can say is we do what we can to prevent attacks. Don't like your experience your welcome to trade your coins to numerous competitors though as anyone gains volume expect the same issues. What I can promise you is like every other attack that we have eventually thwarted in the past. This will be another vector lost to them once it is solved. DDOS's cost all of us money so it is in our interest to make sure you can get to yours. Some examples of other minor companies that have been DDOS'd. You can Google many more if you like.

Okay people like you and incl you should shut up. You're trading small amount of money, you're not losing anything if you wait a bit. Most people buy in @random @beliving random coins will suceed. If you have invested over 10k $ in cryptsy market you have a right to complain a lot.t
McxNow doesn't offer any real DDOS protection, some minor level one, it's just that people have stopped DDOS-ing it.
No Cryptsy shouldn't accept something that's not reality, DDOS is like protesting irl, it will go away once people realize they aren't doing any real damage.
