I was doing some research and found [
this article ] on calculating coins per day... but I tried it and am not getting accurate results.
I understand, or I think I understand, the math behind it... but where do the values come from? The hashrate is pretty obvious as it's one of the few metrics we're always looking at in the miner... But where do you get the difficulty, block reward, and exchange rates from?
Could somebody walk me through it once? Let's say I'm mining VertCoin (Lyra2v2) on HashRefinery, Zpool, or something at a rate of 11.9 MH/s...
Then my math would be something like:
86400 * Block Reward * (11.9 * 1000000)
VertCoins = -----------------------------------------
difficulty * 4295032833
USD Per Day = VertCoins * ExchangeRate
Where do I get the block reward, difficulty, and exchange rate values from?
Thanks!
