This scam has shaken my belief in crypto currencies.

I still can't believe that so many people believe in an obvious fraud so easily. This is the danger of the current hype about crypto currencies. There are more and more people who just want to make the quick money without even knowing anything about the basics. The fraud is so obvious if you check the their github repo.

Scam like this will be a major threat to Bitcoin in the future and a big danger for the trust in crypto as a whole. Why did so many people still believe in this scam? Are some people really that stupid?
Yes, they are. IQ median is 100 remember? Take a quick look at the percentiles and you'll see 1.2 billion people with an IQ of 85 or less. That's 1.2 billion idiots to profit from.

You've been scammed. Congratulations.
Jaap Terlouw is sitting at home laughing about your stupidity and naivety.

How have we been scammed? It is a fork, in the sense that the only people who could have been scammed, are the ones buying the futures right?

I don't need to promote my blog anywhere its all over the web already and your scam is just going to get you in trouble , because as per you "other team" members they are "hired" to work a.k.a Part Time

The only person who is going to get charged with this scam (eventually) is the "Founder" ...

Alright, so far no pool is working, all wallets are crashed upon reaching the fork height.
The only one that is working, is the official pool... Kinda weird imho.

Do they use a different wallet source? Huh

I was referring to this guy who was trying to get their code from github running. The "team" knows nothing about blockchain technology at all. They couldn't even answer some simple questions about the technology here in this thread.

Judging by the addrs mining on their pool, they use a regular BTC wallet. What transactions are they mining? Ha ha. Take a guess.

I was wondering if they are BTC wallets, also no where on the pool does it give the block number

It's really alarming to see that there are actually people out there who pay $400 (!) for this obvious scam. They might have bought some of the 6 million premined coins from Jaap Turlouw.

I've even seen some "trading experts" on youtube and twitter who told people to sell their altcoins for bitcoin in order to get these "free coins". Is it really that easy to manipulate the market by some criminals from the Ukraine?

What did they do? (Template for future scammers)
  • Set up a nice website and upload a video with a rocket to the moon. Add some random people to your "team"
  • Write prepaid articles in press, such as lenta.ru, forklog, forbes, and so on, imposting themself as an original segwit2x.
  • Ignore or delete any technical questions about the coin. (You can't answer them anyway because you don't have someone in your "team" who knows much about blockchain technology)
  • Set up a github repo with code you copied from another repo
  • Add some scam code that gives you free premined coins. Additionally you can add a few lines of irrelevant code such as changing some names. (Most people won't verify what's in the repo anyway. It would take too much time for them as they are here for the quick money.)
  • Ask some exchanges to add your scam coin. They won't say no as they will also earn money with your scam.
  • Finally: Make a lot of money by selling your premined coins

I never expected defrauding people will be that easy. This will definitely not be the last fake fork. A lot of other "teams" will try the same thing and I'm sure it will work.

What are people mining on the "Official Pool"?  If they are using BTC addresses what are they expecting to get?
