Is it late to invest 10K?

So I im in cryptos around 2 months and I invested around 1,5K dollars into BTC (70%) and some alts (stratis) and icos.

When i First invested, btc was at 5K, second and Last buy was when btc was at 10K and i am Just wondering...oh Men you could buy btc for 10K dollars Back then and have almost 4x more now.

Anyway 18. December is almost here, in early 2018 a lot of altcoins have some major updates so i am asking you for an advice.

Should i increase my investition into cryptos and invest 10K dollars?

I plan to have 50% in bitcoin, 40% in promising alts (stratis, shift, neo) and the 10% invest into good icos (2 or 3 maybe)

I like your plan for portfolio but try to also keep some of your fiat so that you can buy more when there will be correction in market.

I am actually waiting for a blood bath which is quite likely to add more crypto in my portfolio. I have 50% in fiat, 30% in bitcoin and 20% in different alts right now. I am only bullish with bitcoin currently, other alts might get huge correction soon.

I don't know your financial situation so I can't really tell you to invest $10k or not. $10k maybe all your money in the world or you sold your house to get that. or $10k may be only 1% of your total net worth!
the answer in each case can be very different. so the only thing we can tell you is to invest what you can afford to lose, if $10k is an affordable amount then do it. but always have in mind that price may not always rise (price of bitcoin or altcoins you have in mind) tomorrow when you wake up your $10k can be turned into $1k specially if you invest in altcoins.

The more that Bitcoin gets mainstream -the more you will see people trying to look at Bitcoin only for the money.

The only thing that those people are testing with Bitcoin is the speed of the transaction from their bank account to their exchange account lol.

I certainly agree with you. Now the forum is difficult to find the right information. But such questions beginners arise only because they do not have enough knowledge. These are people who heard the word bitcoin on TV or from their friends and compare it to the HYIP and the pyramids.

you had invested $ 1,5k dollar and has gained a great profit. and now if you are confident enough then investing $ 10k is too ordinary story.

there is not too late to invest $10k because as we know that bitcoin price will increase more than $10k. although the price is up and down, for me, I still want to invest my money in bitcoin and I believe with bitcoin. many new people invest their money and they don't want to be late to get the party in bitcoin.

yooo be easy dude!  Be 100% honest and say will you buy bitcoins let alone any other cryptos just for the sake of transaction if there is no potential of getting big return?? 

No matter what you say now, everyone knows the answer and the answer is a BIG NO.   No one will buy bit coins just for sake transaction or use it as a currency if there is no potential of profit...

40% in altcoins is too much in my opinion. and i have yet to see a proper promising altcoin. most of them only last for a short amount of time before they become not-promising!

if you want to dedicate 40% of your money to trading altcoins in general then that is a different question. i wouldn't suggest buying and holding altcoins really.

I invested in bitcoin because i believe in it, it is cryptocurrency so I am going to use it for its purpose, in my country many shops accept BTC. Also I buy altcoins because i believe in their developers and its power. Of course buy those who are going to make some profit. Why? Because the good cryptos with good time are going to make good profit. I dont think its bad, that I buy some cryptos or ICO tokens to support developers and ALSO to earn some profit.

Nice plan i suggest instead of leaving 10% out for ICO's you use that to trade with if you can and increase that ten percent then put some to BTC and the rest to any ICO's you like. The good thing about ICO's is that there dates are pretty strict so you know when you need the money and how much etc.

You can trust bitcoin with that kind of money or investment for long term purpose. But considering the alt coins they get little shaky for long term as there sole dependency is their product development and marketing. If that doesn’t work in the future then what do you think can save your investment.

I do trust many alts, like ETH, IOTA, Waves, NEM but I can’t put that kind of money in that profile due to my little less faith for long term purpose. Considering the market cap for the bitcoin it aint going anywhere so you can always trust it. Its never late for the bitcoin and its always thinkable for the alt coins.

It is never late to start investing in bitcoin. However, take care and invest only quantities that you can afford to lose. If 10k USD is all you have, don't blindly invest it all in bitcoin, as it can lose a lot of value in short time. For long term investment I think it is less risky investing in bitcoin, but you need to be patient if bitcoin lose much of its value because it may as well take years to recover if it crashes hard after you buy it.
