You can use bitcointalk bounty programs and Facebook ads targeting specific keywords related to your project. FB has millions of users and it is very effective

I think Facebook is over-rated regarding Crypto campaigns. Also, they have recently banned the add related to crypto I believe. Anyway, is just silly to launch a campaign in Facebook as most people don´t have too many friends interested in cryptos.
You can post on the cryptocurrency related pages and groups that maybe very important than the friendlist of Facebook account.
And Facebook is not the only social media twitter is the most better media to promote the ICO than Facebook because more cryptocurrency users follows twitter for the regular updates.
But the ICO team need to promote their projects in all the available ways attracte more investors.

You want to explore the crypto currency and get the more information means this forum is the right place as like that bitcoin users and investors are widely found here. Instead of using the Facebook campaigns to promote the project in the banned time on Facebook.
This is really awful idea. Hopefully signature campaigns and bounty signatures will be helpful and get the more people attracted to the project.

This forum has been the best medium for advertising ICOs i believe because the focus here is about cryptocurrency unlike in social media where there are a lot of topics that could be promoted and the only thing that social media has an edge is the number of users, but crypto enthusiasts are all here looking for good ico to invest. Next will be youtube for me because it's easier to understand the project in a video that demonstrates how it works while someone is explaining from the background.

Hi all,

I am wondering where do you advertise your ICO projects? Do you use bitcointalk forum or other mediums like Facebook Ads or Google Ads?

Is there anyone with experience in this subject? I want to know what is the best (cost effective) medium to promote ICO.  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Every project try to gather as many user attention initially. They usually look out for audience who are crypto related which they can find on forum sites like Bctalk and other forums. They either try to capture that with Bounty or simply press release on any of news sites.

IMO investing in only specific advertisement options ( like say press release, banners on crypto related sites etc. ) is very cost efficient but less effective than investing in a program packed up with multi-platform advertisement (say bounties) which is expensive but is most of the time effective.

Indeed. Most of personal twitter and facebook accounts don't accept dummy/fake accounts as their friends or follower so advertising there is useless. While btctalk is where you can get more exposure because all of here are interested in crpytocurrencies.

My list will be
- bitcointalk ( because interest here focus on crypto)
- telegram ( active users on ICO channel can gives you an idea how much demand and support has been getting from the community the ICO is)
- Facebook/twitter (just simply there's a million of users there)
- youtube (easy to understand how the project works with videos)
- medium (last not but the least because serious crypto investors tend to read carefully most of the ICOs being posted there )

This is the main forum of all cryptocurrencies and there is a big wide exposure if a project will be advertised here.

- telegram ( active users on ICO channel can gives you an idea how much demand and support has been getting from the community the ICO is)
Nowadays each ICO does have its telegram channel because its one of the best way to ask and give information to their participants.

- Facebook/twitter (just simply there's a million of users there)
Facebook is a good one even though they restricted paid advertising but every project can still their profile and facebook page for their ICO. Twitter is without a doubt does have a lot of crypto followers.

- youtube (easy to understand how the project works with videos)
And also a tutorial on how to invest.

- medium (last not but the least because serious crypto investors tend to read carefully most of the ICOs being posted there )
I haven't used medium yet but I've seen there are many people who are staying there too.

I think forum is the best medium to utilize and channelize the people towards investing in their ICO. It is indeed the boon for the ICO campaign team to use this ready platform where thy can do a signature campaign, twitter campaign, avatar campaign etc.

With graft I've seen them advertising first here in forum and was followed by facebook ads but facebook has stopped the sponsorship of advertisements so it can be a cross out already. And by also searching something on google their ad is also popping out on my screen so they are using google ads and the same goes with youtube.

in the issue of promotion you need complex solutions, advertising on the forum, advertising in social networks, a beautiful site and a detailed description of the project, public statements at seminars and conferences, you should show people that you have serious intentions

promotion of a new product on the market, it is always not an easy task, advertising on the forum and in social networks is the cheapest way of promotion, but perhaps not the most effective, if you want to promote your project, then you need to act in all directions, including in various public events and to speak on them

social media platforms that can connect all people in the world such as YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, these people are also usually followed by many people. As more brands enter Influencer Marketing campaigns into their overall marketing strategy, many studies confirm that collaboration with social media influencers in the production, distribution and promotion of sponsored content is now one of the most powerful ways for brands to reach consumers

However, if we really think back. The average investor is coming from this forum may be able to reach 50% of all media into a promotional facility. and the other 5% are from other similar forum members.
Those who are users of social media, most of them are members of the forums, so the percentage of success for social media from all you mentioned is only 45%. That's my opinion.

based on my observations over the years, most of ICO fixed using Bitcointalk as the main media forum, but I have a new view regards promoting ICO, try to create an account "Producthunt", there you can promote products belonging to you...  Smiley Wink

Yes, i agree with you but social media is to get awareness about the project but actually, campaign helping the ICO campaign is Videos, Content Management, Medium Articles and Signature campaign. Bitcointalk is the most effective way to get more exposure to the project.

Facebook and Twitter are the best social medium you can used in promoting ico projects. However you may not reach your actual audience as many of the user has little knowledge on cryptocurrencies. Bitcointalk community is a cryptocurrencies community and most people here had interest in cryptocurrencies and that is why we are having more focus here. I think reddit and blog are also good ways or place you can promote your projects.

Technical myth I believe. If there is more number of ICO and crypto ads has been placed on twitter and facebook. ICO website may get the more number of views but investors you will not get at all.
If there is repuated project has been launched they mostly looking to get the token sale contribution from the forum. Because here all the people definitely know about the ICO analysis so they are well never miss good project at all.

Exactly, bitcointalk is the most effective way, for promotion through signature campaign people will get more awareness and exposure about their ICO, content management is also good to get various advertising and exposure to the company. Through social media, we can get awareness but at the same time team should focus on attending blockchain conferences.
