he didn't win it and it is not a gift!
he had bitcoin cash all this time in his wallet and he could have claimed it using the private keys that he also always had access to when using blockchain.info but he never did.

and right now blockchain.info just added support for bitcoin cash to their wallets to make it easier for everyone to claim their BCH and do with it whatever they want.
