Anybody Familiar with ByteCoin?

I recently ran into ByteCoin. So, I decided to dig a bit deeper into it. A few things I noticed are that it seems to be just starting to gain momentum. But, there are a few things that bother me about this. First, I have read some comments of people being restricted from withdrawing their purchased Bytecoin. Second, what exactly is special about it? I mean privacy and security are great. But, every other currency does does that.

I am still doing my research on this coin, as I am looking for a new place to invest in. I just wanted to post this to see if anybody had more knowledge about the situation with this Altcoin.
