     Hello All,
First off let me say im new to bitcointalk, So forgive me for asking this as im sure it prob has been asked 100 times..

Can anyone tell me whats up with Cryptopia? I have submitted 2 support tickets through their portal, on their Facebook page & on their Twitter and 2 weeks later they've still not responded to the issues from any form of contact.

I like Cryptopia because i can trade ONION on their platform but with them not answering or responding to any type of attempts to contact them has me worried that i wont get my funds when i decide to sell a coin and withdraw my bitcoins..

Can anyone please tell me whats going on OR your experience with them..

Any suggestions on for a good alternative for Cryptopia?

Thanks In Advance.

Novaexchange, yobit and cryptopia are of same level for me, Nova left the business as they sold their site. Yobit had and have some issues and not so user friendly. Cryptopia is the better one now compared to others but as you've experienced their support is not that good. Lots of complaints I have heard personally regarding that but I use it as I have some specific coins on it.

I have done few trades on Cryptopia and all of them went smooth for me so I didn't contact their support system ever. So on the basis of user experience, I can say Cryptopia is good. But as you saying they are not customer friendly then you can try others.
Best way to find good exchange is by searching your coin on CoinMarketCap. First search your coin, then open 'Markets' tab and list of exchanges where coin is listed will appear. Just select one having maximum supply and volume and that's all.

They are maybe overloaded with support tickets, it's a trend on crypto exchanges. kraken receive 10,000 tickets daily. Cryptopia is becoming more and more popular recently. Look in the "service" section in this forum, there is topic about Cryptopia where they are somewhat active to reply, maybe you should try there as well

in terms of newly released coins , usually the best option i find to have funds at to buy such coins is cryptopia, the only issue when withdrawing btc from their site high fee, so just use ethereum or litecoin to withdraw.

Ok but you Cryptopia are an exchange that ask 5 BTC to list any new coin, and you have hundreds already listed (make your maths), you earn tons of BTC daily from trades fee....FFS you can't afford to pay a bunch of skilled guys, build a decent customer support and offer a great level service?
Exchanges ask for enormous fee without offering a counterpart service neither far the worth of amount paid!
Such a shame.

I used to trade to cryptopia because i find it easy to use. But i never tried to talk to support for i do not have any serious issues regarding my transactions to them. But i also didn't use cryptopia anymore due to high fees.  200k sats for bitcoin withdrawal is just too much for me.

there is a forum section on their website which you can visit. maybe there has been a news regarding the particular coin you are dealing with which has caused the issues.
it doesn't hurt if you create a topic there too since it has already been a while and you have not received any answer.

FWIW i have been using Cryptopia but with small amounts, and i have made deposits and withdrawals of bitcoin, litecoin and dogecoin without any problems.

Cryptopia is a better exchange when compared to other exchanges like nova, coinsmarket, livecoin etc... All my trades until date have gone smooth and I did not face any withdrawal problems from it. I once had a deposit problem for which I raised a ticket and it was solved within 24 hrs. Other than this there weren't any problems from Cryptopia. I would suggest you to raise another ticket and wait until they don't respond. It can be that their support will be busy handling queries.

Going back to the original question, is there an alternate place to buy smaller known cryptos like ONION? Another one I'm looking for is ENG but struggling to find that as well. Thanks.

whenever you want to find exchanges that have a particular crypto currency that you want to trade, you can always use websites such as coinmarketcap (there are a lot of these actually) and search the name of the coin. they always have places where you can trade them.

example: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/deeponion/#markets

you can also use google to find the announcement topic of the coins and in their topic there must be a link to the exchanges that have the coin listed.
search something like this:
Code:
ONION coin site:bitcointalk.org

There is a FOMO brewing...

The exchange is used by people to exchange unpopular altcoins.
Basically users don't have problems or they are quickly solved.
Some forks are only on Cryptopia so in this sense there's no alternative to the stock exchange.

I think this is a new and very potential market, with huge capitalization as well as huge profits that it brings. But you should know that when the higher the profit, the greater the risk, you need to learn thoroughly before investing in this market. You should attend meetings of experienced people to learn and know how to get information correctly.
