"dropped a lot", you meant dropped by approximately $300 yea? and now we're a few hundred from $20,000(source: coinmarketcap).
Will it go up or down? No one knows. Heck if I knew how the markets would exactly move, then I would be a millionaire by now just by
buying and selling bitcoin, even from starting as low as a $10 bankroll.

This is a question that can't be simply answered like this. No one really knows what is going to happen next. But there are some facts that you can analyze:

- BTC futures are starting to get traded today;
- New people learning about cryptos everyday (I'm from Brazil and BTC is getting mainstream in popular TV channels);
- No bad government news on cryptos
- End of the year is coming, I've heard rumours about a big dump to start the year (don't take this in consideration btw, I've read this somewhere but there's no way on confirming this)

You should watch what's happening in the scene and cement your opinion from there; if someone is saying that certainly the price will go up, you should suspect, no one really knows.

A few hundred dollars is nothing to worry about. How many times have we seen $1k+ moves now?

Do you know how to read a graph? It never dropped. What's the point of your topic? Buy more before it goes up more.

Noone knows what is going to happen.

Bitcoin is gaining so much traction lately it's even effecting my country and local news.

Will most likely hit some resistance now around the $20,000 target. I do however think that with all this media attention Bitcoin has been getting lately that we can go higher than I ever thought.

I am pretty sure, that we will see more and more highs all the way to the New Year. But than again, it's so unpredictable, that I am not risking to invest more, even though I could definitely benefit from some healthy profits.

The price of bitcoin can not be predicted, if now down, tomorrow it could be doubled.

Now still providing the best opportunity to buy bitcoin cheap and I told a friend yesterday that buy bitcoin now for a long-term view is good but if you are a short term trader then he should for the price to fall back world a bit. I don't think that bitcoin will fall below $17500 before end of this year and it might not get to $25,000 before end of 2017. But in 2018 it might go above $40,000.

We don't really know whether its value will drop or rise since it is way unpredictable. But the thing here is that Bitcoin is valatile so changes on its value is just normal. More importantly, don't be scared if its value will fall next week but rather take advantage and buy Bitcoin at that moment to earn huge profit in the future.

Price dropped about 1000 dollar. Given current bitcoin price it is not a big amount. It's only 5% of bitcoin price. 5% rise or fall in price is always normal in cryptocurrencies.

-snip- Want to buy more.
So go ahead and buy more - at his point in time one is certain - we will have price gain, bitcoin will be worth even more.
Why do you pay attention to small shifts of $1k- $2K when bitcoin in the future will be worth $100k and more?
Just buy it when it still cheap like dirt, the business adoption just started - soon BTC will be the most desired asset on earth.

If I were you I would buy more even if this price turns out to be a high one because we all know that in the long run, it will still give us profit since it is expected for btc to go above 100k$+ in the future. If you are in for the long run, then don't mind investing now even if it can go up or down. Better yet, do not invest it all at once choose entry points cheaper than this price but buy some today. That way you can profit if it pumps and you can buy again when it dumps.

It did went high too quick and reached $19,000 and close to $20,000. But now it is backed at $18,710 so you are skeptic if the price will go up next week. Everyone is just speculating here and all are depending to their feeling and base on technical analysis. Did you managed to buy more during the time you posted this question, if you did so then you did a great job.

I am on the same level. Seriously, if I didn't had any coins right now, I would have dumped like 25% of my entire wealth in Bitcoin at this point. If one thing has become perfectly clear this year, then it for sure is that people who are waiting will keep staring at how the market keeps increasing. Waiting at this point is the last thing people should do.

Just buy it when it still cheap like dirt, the business adoption just started - soon BTC will be the most desired asset on earth.
If you understand what Bitcoin is capable of, you will think like that, but a good portion of the people here don't know anything other than Bitcoin having gone up in value this year. If they really did understand Bitcoin, they wouldn't ask others whether or not it's a good moment to buy. I remember how people were even opening threads asking whether or not it's a good time to buy at $500 because the price has gone up a lot already. Lips sealed Lips sealed

It didn't drop that much. Its current price is hovering around $18700, though it dropped as low as $18200 yesterday. Its peak before that drop was about $19400, so it corrected by 6.2%.
That's a significant drop, but not that huge in the world of cryptos. It's quite low actually, considering the insane rises we've gone through over the last few years in the crypto-world.

To be honest, no one knows how much it'll go up/down, but I think it'll be anywhere between (& around) $18000-$21000. I feel like it's not gonna rise a lot, but it might hit just above 20k.

I hope it's gonna stabilize though, that'd be the best thing to happen for it to be accepted worldwide as a currency for daily usage.
Sadly, that's probably not gonna happen. We're gonna keep these spikes.
