(Cross-listed on Bitmit: https://www.bitmit.net/en/item/46677-avalon-batch-2-asic-miner-in-hand-82-gh-s)

Due to unique personal circumstances, I've decided to sell my Batch #2 Avalon ASIC miner.

This Bitcoin miner has been running for over 2 weeks at ~82 GH/s while consuming ~664 W, ranking as one of the top 25 contributors to the Eligius mining pool. (Proof available upon request.)

DETAILS:

  • Firmware version: 20130703
  • Bitcoin hash rate: 82 GH/s (approximate -- varies with ambient temperature)
  • Power consumption: 664 Watts (approximate)
  • 750W power supply, appears stable.
  • Ethernet and Wi-Fi both appear to work.
  • 3 fans. Fan speed control appears to work.

PAYMENT:

  • Payment is due within 48 hours of the end of the auction.
  • Payment must be made using escrow unless the buyer is willing to pay in advance. Either Bitmit escrow or John K.'s escrow service (on bitcointalk: http://bit.ly/17w3r3Q) are acceptable. More flexible arrangements are available if the buyer is located in the SF Bay Area and willing to meet in person.

SHIPPING:

  • U.S. addresses only.
  • Free next-day shipping.
  • In-person delivery available for buyers located in the SF Bay Area.
  • Shipped in manufacturer's original packaging.

Additional proof available upon request. I am user "dlitz" on bitmit & bitcointalk.org, and "dwon" on #bitcoin-otc.

I reserve the right to cancel any sale, either before or after the auction ends. Any payment will be refunded in that case.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

I probably should have signed that.  Just to confirm:

Hash: SHA512

I am user "dlitz" on bitmit & bitcointalk.org, and "dwon" on #bitcoin-otc.

This is to confirm that I'm selling an Avalon Batch #2 ASIC Miner:

I don't have much of a trust rating on the forums, on Bitmit, or on #bitcoin-otc, but my GPG key is tied to my real identity, and I'm a not-too-hard-to-find FOSS developer.  If you're running Linux, there's a good chance that you have my software installed (I'm the maintainer of PyCrypto a.k.a "python-crypto") and I've contributed a couple of small patches to the Satoshi client: https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/commits?author=dlitz

I'm probably not going rip you off, and if I do, you probably won't have any trouble taking me to court. Smiley

That's just the price to end the auction early.  The highest actual bid is just over 99 BTC.

Your auction ends in 1 week.

I would have bid if it was 1 day.  A week long auction devalues it by 25% for the difficulty increase plus the 10 BTC generated in that time.

I'm considering ending the auction early.  Feel free to place an expiring bid here.

Ok, I've cancelled the Bitmit listing.  We'll continue here.

The bidder from Bitmit (lokisraven) has asked me to post his current bid of BTC117.

I will end the auction tonight at 6:00 UTC (11pm Pacific).

The auction is closed.  lokisraven from Bitmit is the highest bidder.

I'll post again when the delivery has been completed.

Thanks for bidding, everyone!
