It's already sort of happened, although not with celebrities. SR used to have a site called the Armory which offered firearms. There are also sites that offer assassinations but I don't know any of them and don't care to.

Someone went to jail for simply writing an essay on this topic in the 90s. Be careful. You're really whacking a hornet's nest by simply discussing it.

TPTB fear this idea even more than a popularized bitcoin.

Assassinating celebrities makes no sense. However small scale crowdfunded raids for gold, diamonds and BMWs would be a good idea Smiley.

Crowdfunding such is no different than an individual paying for something like that.

Someone still needs to execute it.

Though you are onto a form of tipping the balance of power.
