That was for the January batch, the latest price for the March batch (which has sold out) was $11,999.

Price is rediculous. $16K these people will never make there money back. These miners will be making $15 a day in a week or 2. Which isn't bad if you paid $2k.

  They are from Baikal , not Bitmain .  The wholesale price was $3600 plus shipping.   The first retail was for around $4500.  


      The "greedy " folks are the ones selling their retail units instead of mining with them .    

I really don't blame them if people are willing to pay what they are asking .  

 I would be be willing to pay $10,000 myself if one was available, but others are willing to pay more .  

This is a supply vs demand situation , not a gouging people for drinking water or food and problem.

      Greed and gouging ? I pay .067 cents per Kwh for electricity, people in California 35 cents every month (500%)

Today Nicehash has it at $99.14 a day.    Granted this may not be considered the best gauge for potential earnings, but just a week ago is was earning $400 a day.

With the flood of Baikal B miners, the inflated price for purchasing one, and the 'drop' in Cryptocurrencies (ie. Bitcoin) how long will it take to break even?

You have to take into account the price of the coins as well. Library was worth $1 each last week, now its worth $.60. The profitability of the Giant B is being attacked on 2 fronts with difficulty increasing and coin prices falling this week.

I think the Giant B will soon profit $2,000 - $3,000 per month which is great if you paid $4500.   At $15,000 it is a bigger risk and it ties up money if something more feasible comes available next month or two .  I bought 1070ti gpus a few weeks ago that have a much higher ROI and more flexibility of other algorithms.   The down side is they run hotter and require more electricity .
