I start this thread not trying to doubt Mr BigVern or Cryptsy.com dev team, just want to know clearly what's the standard for cryptsy.com choosing new altcoin.

Recently, cryptsy.com add many new coins like xpm, csc, elc, kgc and so on, coins like xpm are very good and innovative, it's reasonable that this xpm added to cryptsy.com, but other coins like csc, elc and kgc, I don't know why cryptsy.com choose these coins. There are many good coins in this bitcointalk.org, these coins have better design and implementation, more users and hash power, of course these coins are earlier than elc, csc and kgc, why cryptsy.com doesn't choose these coins?

I think there are some good coins that have been despised, these coins include cosmoscoin (CMC, which are developed by ourselves), diamond(DMD) and GalaxyCoin (GLX). So all crypt coin lovers, please put some interests on these coins, and Mr BigVern, please add CosmosCoin to cryptsy.com?

Dear Mr BigVern, if you has time and you read this thread accidently, please response.

BTW: CMC has the following features:
- Proof of work/proof of stake (Resistence to 51% attack)
- modified Scrypt algorithm
- Transacation Comment like FlorinCoin
- 0 transaction fee
- 60 seconds block time
- 3.5 coins per block
- Day generation: 5040 coins or 1440 blocks
- diff re-target every block
- Trade confirm: 3
- Mine confirm: 30
- fair start, no premine
- port: Connection: 19990 and RPC Port:19991

Yes I totally support this.

CMC, DMD, GLX are PoW/PoS coins combining new innovative features and there are a lot interests in people for mining them. Also other coins such as EMD exist for 1+ month, many people have been mining them and have big interests in trading them. These, as compared to some new coins, many people barely seen once the post or never seen them, and was launched just 3-4 days ago and have not enough mined, I don't really see where the trades will come from, maybe all from insiders or friends?

Don't get me wrong, I like cryptsy, I opened my account there from the beginning and have been trading there almost daily. I hope these nice coins will be listed, as these are in the interests of many miners, me included. Smiley

We all like cryptsy.com, it's the biggest exchange for altcoins, thanks to BigVern's great work.

I just don't understand the standard of cryptsy.com choosing new altcoins. Maybe exchange also need some bounty? If so, we can try our best to do some bounty.

Nope bounties don't really do much to affect a coins ranking on the list. We are more interested in volume and what we anticipate volume will be on a coin. Health of a coins hashrate. We love innovation gets a high ranking with that. Many factors most are looked at from a whats in demand perspective.

Thanks bro, I need to tell you something, CMC has many users, the hash power is between 60Mh/s to 150 MH/s and it alreay can be exchanged on btcltc.com (but this site has been attacked), so please give CMC a higher priority.
Great thanks to you.

This is a fair question, even CasinoCoin get into Cryptsy, I don't know what innovation does that coin have. And they just launched, like 4 days ago? CMC is way older than that, and have very stable pools and supporters.

OK, I want to re-initiate this discussion, BigVern/BigJohn, can you please let us know what are the standard to get listed in cryptsy?

I see ORB get listed: it is a coin with 1 mil premine and 1.5 total coins, so 66% are premined, is this a joke? If this can be listed, which one can not?

I see GIL get listed: didn't we say that coins with premine will be less priority to be listed in cryptsy? GIL premined 300K. Is it because Hydro and his company chant "GIL" in the cryptsy chat every day?

Why not list GLX? 0 premined
Why not list HBN? 0 premined
Why not list STR? 0 premined
Why not list PHS? 0 premined
Why not list GDC? 0 premined

There are so many great coins out there, I just don't get it.

Don't get me wrong, I like cryptsy, and I traded almost daily there, but as many other people, I also want to see cryptsy be fair and we want to trade good coins there too. Thank you cryptsy.

Yes I like all the 0 premined coins too, the only problem, is that their network hashrates are all pretty high, so I can't solo mine them, but that indicates good community acceptance  Wink

all stake clones with shitty names, boring block rewards and little innovation. all except for maybe STR. PhilosophersStone is actually a cool name though, i must admit. but thats just my personal opinion.

in all honesty, the reason your coin hasn't got on cryptsy yet is because it hasn't waited its turn in line. Above Average coins can jump and get on the exchange sooner (Primecoin), but middle of the pack coins tend to have to wait in  line for their chance. GIL and GLC came out long before any of these coins. As far as ORB, it is an utter piece of shit. i'm not sure what got it onto cryptsy but if i had to guess it would have to be

The Red Mist (the guy who paid for the coin to be made and owns all the premine) got the nod because he's a cryptsy regular, and his promise of supporting scientific research.) , or it could have been because shakezula made the coin. just my two cents.

My negative trust rating is reflective of a personal vendetta by someone on default trust.

I think that GLX tries some new algorithm so the diff swings, with that I can solo mine with a max cgminer diff around 300K and still get blocks in a reasonable time.

PHS said it fixed some pos algo, so it delivers precious the pos interest it defines, still needs to be verified as it did not start to pay out the pos interest yet.

STR displays different images based on the block payouts (superblocks or not).

the other two I don't know.

None are big improvements, but they have some things new which are still interesting to see.

You gotta wonder about the logic behind Cryptsy's selections. GIL - IMO just pre-mined junk and its listed overnight. Theres numerous other coins too that shouldnt be on there, and plenty that should be. At the end of the day Cryptsy doesnt give 2 shits about the miners. Move over to Coins-E. Its just as good an exchange as cryptsy and given the volume it could be much better.

If you like my post please feel free to give me some positive rep https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=18639

My negative trust rating is reflective of a personal vendetta by someone on default trust.

I enjoy accumulating the (IMO) better ones without the attention of being listed,
Take your time!
