My suggestion is to just get whichever cheapest is available. Different brands and manufacturers will sell you different 1070s claiming their cards have better cooling, better overclocking, etc., etc., but in reality, they all mine at the same hash rate. It will all depend on your overclocking and undervolting settings. So yeah just get whichever is cheapest and available to you.

Two recommendations when it comes to choosing a 1070:

1- Avoid the single fan models
2- Avoid the dual power connectors models

If you're looking for the best cost effective model then the Zotac mini can't be beaten

I'm not using much GTX 1070 so I cannot cover all branches, but my current MSI GTX 1070 Seahawk and EVGA 1070 SC are quite good.
They're easy on getting high OC, and very stable!

As far as the 1070 gtx nvidia is concerned, the choice is extremely easy.
Gainward phenix 1070 and palit jetstream and gamerock are best of best for sure for minig if you go on nvidia.
Best cooling solutions, quite, and very durable.
With evga 1070 have lots of failure, some factory error I hope have corrected.

Google is your friend when it comes to learning about mining. There is an overabundance of resources in the form of articles, blogs, and even videos on how to setup your mining rig. But in general, the overclock or undervolt settings will depend on the coin you are mining. Below is a quick guide i found by spending 5 seconds on google. It should help you get started with mining Ethereum.

Just go with whatever is cheapest but if its an extra $20 bucks or so to go with a better brand then go for it for sure.
