DAG is a kind of distributed ledger technology which is different from blockchain, and is a big innovation in digital asset area. DAG technology provides a solution for transactions with high concurrency, and upgrades two-dimensional model to three-dimensional model, which means that everyone can be a miner.

Being different from the chain structure (a kind of data storage structure in the form of chain) that adopted by Bitcoin, the solution of DAG is to change the longest chain consensus to the most important chain consensus. In traditional blockchain, a new unit will be added to the longest chain, and all nodes will consider that the longest chain is true. However, in DAG, every new unit will not just be added to the longest chain, but also will be added to all previous blocks. When you issue a new transaction and there have been two effective blocks before, your block will automatically link to the previous two blocks. Every new unit in DAG verifies and confirms its father unit, and its father unit’s father unit, and reaches the creation unit and include the hush in its father unit to its own unit. As time goes by, all transactional blockchains connect to each other and form a graphic structure.

When designing the system of Hcash, interaction of blockchain systems that base on DAG technology should be considered; therefore characters and advantages of DAG are used for reference. The confirmation time of transactions in Hcash system is almost instantaneous. Because DAG is not based on blocks, so there is no block size limitation. Theoretically, the transaction amount in unit time can be very large (HTPS, Hyper Transaction Per Second). At the meantime, Hcash also needs to consider the interaction of blockchain systems that are based on blocks. Hcash can allow huge amount of transactions in unit time under limited block size; thus realizing the function of “Super Cash”.
