13th International Conference on Information Security Practice and Experience

Recently, the 13th International Conference on Information Security Practice and Experience was held in Melbourne, Australia.

Since its first launch in 2015, ISPEC has been held in Singapore, China Mainland, China Hong Kong, South Korea, Australia, etc. ISPEC is led by Deakin University and Monash University,and has become a mature seminar. Every year, there are lots of researchers and practitioners in information technology circle attending this seminar, aiming at providing more new information security techniques, and promoting the integration of various application software and IT system in related industries.

The conference of this year mainly discussed about blockchain technology and its application.

During the conference, Doctor Joseph Liu, the co-director of the blockchain research lab of Monash-HKPU-Collinstar that is stationed in Monash University, held a group discussion. Group members introduced their current research situation, expressed their outlook on this industry and estimated the development track.

During interval of the conference, some audiences mentioned the Cypher Punk Movement in the 1990s. Andrew MIller, a Doctor of computer science in University of Maryland, assistant professor of University of Illinois, and consultant of Zcash, and some other group members presented their ideas about this topic, and talked about political and social revolutions that will be brought by the application of high strength cryptosystem and privacy enhancement technology.

Another group member Khal Achlar, the CTO of Hcash foundation, further discussed the possibility of applying Hcash technology to bank and financial technology areas, and the development of Hcash at present and in the future. He put an emphasis on the currently launched quantum-resistance design which is compatible with ECDSA (the Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm). Khal Achkar also mentioned new partners of Hcash and the mysterious development of Hcash in the future, and he promised that these achievements will be made known at sometime next year. Other two group members, Man Ho Au, the co-director of the blockchain research lab of Monash-HKPU-Collinstar that is stationed in Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and Tsz Hon Yuen, the senior researcher of Huawei that is stationed in Singapore Research Center, also delivered excellent speeches which aroused heated discussion.

Hcash is the pioneer of digital currency area. From the perspective of technology, Hcash platform is designed to be the sidechain for both blockchain-based and blockless systems, so it can achieve free flow of value and information between the two.

High-end talents reserve helps the development of Hcash greatly. With the popularization of quantum computer, Hcash invited four top experts from University of Technology Sydney, the Quantum Science&Research Centre of Macquarie University Sydney, Nanyang Technological University, which is a big step towards the object of creating a “cryptocurrency that has post-quantum features”. What’s more, Hcash has already realized the importance of global innovators and experts in this area, and is determined to influence the whole world. In the near future, Hcash offices will be set in Middle East, Africa, Europe and Russia.

Due to their affirmation of above-mentioned advantages and achievements of Hcash, other important [Suspicious link removed]panies, including Hyperpay, Hyperlending, Halalchain, and ENT, chose to launch their projects in Hcash’s system.

Although Hcash has gained great achievements, it is not satisfied with the current situation and is still trying to take more responsibilities. Hcash believes that there still exists some factors in the current cryptocurrency system that can be improved, including:

-Zero knowledge proof technology that is used to achieve two way encipherment to protect user’s privacy; -A model that combines PoW and PoS to decrease energy waste and improve efficiency; -DAO governance pattern that allows users to use public and private addresses; -Coin holders make unlimited transfers in limited block size, despite the speed of transferring.

With this attitude, the goal promoted by Hcash, which is “Create new standard of value and establish a world without limitations on information and value”, is not far away.
