i want to say yes, because if we see to bitcoin its become an investment like gold or stock, you cant use it as daily payment like before, because the price increase make transaction fee higher too. So here ethereum take a chance cheap fee, fast transaction and still much more thing to devlop

Ethereum is one of the greatest altcoin ever lived but still I don't think Ethereum will take the lead on the bitcoin which is the first ever cryptocurrency of the world. Usually, a lot of people are asking the same question. Some say it will and some say it won't, and though bitcoin came first than ethereum, no one still knows what will happen. So don't easily believe if I say Ethereum won't take the lead.

ETHEREUM is for now a primary force in the alcoin world and with some big erc20 tokens now taking the forefront like PPT for example which have big marketcaps and strong communities, no doubt in my mind that ETHEREUM wlll be a dominant player in this field. The leader is bicoin. ETH will be top ten crypto in the market. Most ICOs are based on eth token. That;s why eth demand is high. The price of eth now is 700USD. In 2018 we expect that the price will be 1000 to 1500 USD. I think holding eth will be profitable.

NOt sure that is possible.For it to lead the cryptomarket there should be an increase in utility but due to the current issues surrounding its platform i think newer platforms will come compete and probably topple ethereum from its current spot.Take MIOTA for exaple or NEO,these are big time competitors.

While Ethereum is definitely a strong contender for the number 1 spot, I think it will be a very, very VERY long time until we see Bitcoin knocked from the lead.
Ethereum is certainly a better technology but Bitcoin is king, and right now and for the forseeable future, nothing else is going to come close to Bitcoin's value (as determined by the market).

Ethereum has some strong competitors too, so I think it more likely that another crypto will soon overtake Ethereum for the No.2 spot.

I like ethereum. I made investment on ethereum when it was around $150. Now it is going up and up. It is the best altcoin and many people accept that. I see every day more people " hunting " ethereum and trade/ invest on the real market, meaning people trust get higher. It will be so difficult to lead the cryptocurrency market, ethereum is not the main crypto that gives a lot of impact on another altcoin just like bitcoin. majority of the altcoin has the bitcoin pairs. that means the bitcoin is very familiar with altcoin. Ethereum will lead the tech development process rather than bitcoin as first dapps already built in it.

IMHO Ethereum will not lead the Cryptocurrency market as whole as I believe the future of the market is to have few cryptocurrencies with different ideas and use cases behind them. Consequently, we shall have an ecosystem of few coins which will help each other to obtain different goals (BTC -> store of value, LTC -> fast payments etc. )

Definitely Ethereum is on the good path to become the most important coin for FinTech industry and be technology of interest for big corporations in this industry. In such way, it will indeed lead the market. However, if you ask if it will totally overcome BTC? Personally I doubt it (at least not in a short term)

It has a good standing in the market but no way that Ethereum will lead the entire crypto economy. Bitcoin is still at it's finest and best crypto of all that affects every cryptocurrency. ETH is also experiencing some problems that are the same with bitcoin so instead of preferring ETH to lead the way still many will stick to bitcoin.

I think it has a good chance, but maybe not for a while. Bitcoin has all of the publicity at the moment, and alts are trailing in its wake. Give it a few years when smart contracts have become part of everyday life, and ETH could well be number 1.

I strongly believe that Ethereum will be the de facto alt coin.  I suppose its fair to say it already is actually, considering that it is the single most used blockchain at the moment as Bitcoin has essentially become a store of value. I doubt that it will eventually surpass Bitcoin though, i think Bitcoin is far too gone and all others will simply increase in adoption and value but not actually catch up with Bitcoin.

Bitcoin market cap is 4* Ethereum market cap.
Ethereum has many advantages compared to Bitcoin especially transactions confirmation time (an eth transaction is confirmed in seconds).
What makes Bitcoin more expensive is that it was created to be a payment alternative while Ethereum is developed to be a platform which facilitates peer-to-peer contracts.
