On 22 July 2013 at 22:00 my localbitcoins.com wallet held 3.54 BTC.
I then sent 17 BTC to my localbitcoins.com wallet address to replenish my localbitcoins.com wallet.
The 17 BTC arrived with 6 confirmations on 22 July at 22:22.
But they were never added to my localbitcoins.com wallet balance.
My localbitcoins.com wallet remains at 3.54 BTC.
The 17 BTC arrived but were not added to my balance.
The 17 BTC do not show as ever having been withdrawn from my localbitcoins.com wallet
Where are my 17 BTC?
Have I been ripped off by the localbitcoins.com system?

"Hi, we are still having some problems of the wallet balances not updating properly on incoming transactions. The transactions are registered properly, but the balance is not updated. However this seems to occur only rarely, and I'm running a script that manually updates the balance now and then. You should see correct balance now. Sorry for the issue."

First of all I humbly ask the mods to relocate this thread appropriately.

Secondly, try contacting their support first. It might just be a mistake.

Contact their support staff and see what the issue is?

Many on these forums use LocalBitcoins without any problems as one of the easiest ways to do person to person cash for bitcoin swaps.

I have put in a support request to localbitcoins.com. They have not replied.

They were having deposit issues. It was on the forums. Contact them and they will fix your balance. I deposited 40+ and had the same heart attack

Their site is very buggy. Most of my ads don't show up. I wouldn't trust them with my money.

Then you're doing something wrong.

I have had hundreds of ads accurately displayed on localbitcoins in the past, with no issues at all.

I've met some of their team at the london conference as well.

Their support has always been responsive, helpful, etc.

No issues here with localbitcoins.

No I am not doing anything wrong. They've acknowledged their problems to me:

This was in May. I gave up on their site after they didn't do anything. Today I decided to try again and sent a fresh bug report.
