Did I break my 5870?

Haven't been mining for very long and I don't have a dedicated machine for it.  I only replaced my 8800gt a few weeks ago with an ASUS HD 5870.  I had been running it overnight at 1020 mhz core clock, 300 mhz mem clock, and about 74*C according to MSI afterburner.  When I got on in the morning I stopped mining on my standard miner and switched to a "low power" one (adds -s 0.01 to poclbm for when I want to actually use it to do something online).  Well, I ended up inadvertently clicking a youtube link and crashing the driver once it tried to play.  Not a huge deal I'd imagine, it's done that before, but then I stopped mining entirely and just reset everything to stock clock speeds.  When I went to try and play the video again, the computer just crashed completely, didn't give a blue screen or anything.  Now when I turn it on, the fans all turn on but the screen never comes on and it never reaches the POST beep.  Haven't really tried anything yet, I've been gone almost all day.  Just worried that I might have fried my card or something.  I've always let MSI automatically handle voltage, and always used custom fan settings to keep the card at about 75*C under full load mining.  Any suggestions on what I should do?

1020mhz from 850mhz is a relatively high OC (~20%). Wouldn't recommend for 24/7 usage at max. load like BTC mining.

Could be that the voltage regulator died.
If there's physical evidence of burns on the VRM then the warranty will prob. not be honored.

Try your other card, if you still have it. If not, try re seeding your current card. I wouldn't think a hardware accelerated program would ruin a card, but it's possible with a card under a lot of stress, although quite small. If you can't get it to work, it should be under warranty if it's a couple weeks old.

In the future, you should disable flash hardware acceleration by right clicking any flash object and going to settings.

When you overclocked the card did you also increase the voltage at all?  If so, by how much?

How long has the card been mining?

The reported temperature will probably be for the GPU and it seems unlikely that 75*C has killed it, particularly if you've only been mining for a few months.  However, if you've increased the voltage much then the VRMs could easily have gotten too hot.

This, try another card on the computer or/and try the 5870 in another computer. This way you will be sure where the problem is.
