We are testing our new alert system but can't seem to find the commmand for sending an alert to the client. Does anyone know the process for sending an alert to the client like the current litecoin upgrade alert?

Did you find a way to send the alerts?    The wiki page https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Protocol_specification#alert has good techy info on the protocol, but a howto would be appreciated.  Like a walk through and sample script on how to send alerts to a coin network.

To the best of my knowledge, we have not yet found a way to send the alert command. A how-to guide would be awesome!
