So both batches of L3+ are now showing as sold out on Bitmain website. Whats the general consensus on these ? Is it worth waiting for a new batch or a new model at this point ?

From what I remember, Bitmain released the L3+ around the same time around a year ago. Does that mean that there's a new model around the corner? I'm about to get around 10 machines and start a small farm and not sure if it's worth waiting for a new release or just to get whatever L3's I can get my hands on. Definitely planning to mine LTC. BTC is a possibility if something comes out to replace S9.

Any input from experienced miners is welcome  Smiley

The batches sell out in an hour or two after they are opened to be sold. The best way to catch them is to follow them on twitter, they usually make a post of their next batch and sell them about 12-24 hours later.

For the rest of your question you can search the forum or just look in the L3+ thread, there are lots of posts regarding this that you can figure out if its worth buying or not. Its really up to you, your thought on how well Litecoin will do, and how much electricity will cost. We cant make that decision for you.

Thanks
Those March batches were available for purchase for a while, at least since the end of October. I'm guessing as soon as the price of LTC went up, the number of orders went up too and Bitmain couldn't keep up with demand.
I guess I didn't ask the right question. I'm pretty much set on mining LTC, it's the equipment that I am on the fence about. Whether to wait for the new L3 to be released(hopefully newer and better model) or just buy on ebay and pay double  Angry

They were available for 3 weeks ago for some time, but that was before the ltc price increase. No one wanted them then Wink
