.94 per device plus costs (read Pricing section below).

For orders of 50+ units, contact me for a quote.  orders of 50+ are handled privately, unless you request to have it publicly posted.

For orders of 2 units or less, you'll get a better deal here: http://eligius.st/~gateway/products/block-erupter-sapphire
I fulfill these and they are usually in stock (no waiting for group buy to close).

Please take a moment to read this ENTIRE post.  New Pricing model, make sure you understand it.

I am 4 miles from a MAJOR DHL hub that receives these orders from China.  My delivery times are the best.  packages sent to me by ASICMiner are in my hand the same day they enter US.  They do not take an extra day or two to travel the country to get to me.  It takes me 11 minutes to drive to DHL when necessary.   My location is in a major metropolitan area next to a LARGE international airport that is a hub for shipping for all delivery companies.  This gives me access to DHL, FedEx (also just 4 miles away, open till 9 PM for next day shipping).  I have access to several Post Offices around me.  I can ship USPS till 7 PM.  I ship to you the same day I receive my delivery.  Simply put, I am in the best position geographically and logistically to receive an order and to get it out to you ASAP.  Period.

This is the FOURTEENTH group buy I'm organizing. The first one completed here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=195647.0 The second completed here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=217981.0 The third completed here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=219422.0 and the fourth one completed here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=222960.0 the fifth completed here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=226656.0 sixth, seventh, eight, ninth, tenth, eleventh, twelfth and thirteenth can be found here on forums

Status updates:
2013-07-22: group buy #14 setup
2013-07-22: don't have enough funds to order?  Consider using www.bitinstant.com  to fund via money gram deposit directly to your (NOT mine!!!) bitcoin address.  bitcoins are sent to you as soon as that cash is deposited at your local wallmart, cvs, jewel etc...
2013-07-22: HOW TO SIGN A MESSAGE TO ME (YOUR SHIPPING INFO): https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=195647.msg2291965#msg2291965
Please NOTE: the above example is NOT the same as sending a signed message with your transaction.
If you are new to this (aka noob), please read this so that you understand what to do.  This is the single most problematic step in the ordering process.
                  Here's how to sign a message with a blockchain.info wallet: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=180068.0
2013-07-22: This group is now open to international orders.  It is limited to those countries where FedEx can deliver.  I charge an additional 1.17 btc for the first pound of
weight to ship internationally.  the minimum weight I can specify with FedEx is 1 pound.  It takes a hell of alot of these units to weigh 1 pound.  I reserve the right to switch
carriers if I can not use FedEx to your location.  for international only: please include your phone number that will go on the fedex shipping label

Common Questions:
When will I receive my order? Answer: When I order with friedcat, allocate up to 4 business days for me to receive it, I ship out to you as soon as ordered inventory arrives.  info on when I order or pre-order with friedcat can be found on the thread.  this info is shared on the thread.

Next Steps:
Collect orders for ASICMiner Block Erupter USBs.

Please Note:
Only send payments from an address you control (i.e. you can sign with it). If you send from MtGox or other exchanges, you risk loosing your funds since you can't prove you sent them. Please send from a wallet you can sign a message with.  You will send your shipping address via this method.

Policy update:
Refunds: Your orders are binding after your funds have been used to pay for an order.  Before that (while coins are piling up for the next batch), you can ask for a refund and will get it paid back in full. Understand that after you get refunded, I will not accept future orders from you.

Folks and miners,

As announced in the Block Erupter USB Sales thread, I want to support the ordering of individual Block Erupter USBs and act as a distributor for the 50 units offered in bulk order by ASICMiner.

Product Description:

    payment accepted is Bitcoin ONLY.
the minimum order quantity is 50, maximum has not been specified, but there probably will be a maximum.
Each one mines at more than 330MH/s, powered only by the USB port.
It serves as a replacement of GPUs for mining hobbyists.
Your GPUs could be freed from calculating hashes and resume rendering for you.
It is also a perfect gift for getting people to learn about Bitcoin and Bitcoin mining.
    The Sapphire Batch:
This is the first batch under production in quantity.
Color of PCB changed to blue
Adding a LED which blinks when a share is found
    Fixing the cgminer compatibility problem
Reducing the heat generated and the current to <500mA

Pricing:
Here's a webpage to assist you with ordering: http://www.bitcoinpokerblog.com/canary/GroupBuy13.php

The cost of shipping is 0.09 bitcoins for orders of 10 or less.  USPS Priority Flat Rate shipping is free for orders of 11+
You can upgrade to USPS Express or FedEx.  you need to contact me for a quote based on the # of miners you wish to have shipped (weight dependent).

Domestic Insurance:
Now optional.  Be aware, if you choose not to pay for insurance, you absolve me of any liability or claims for lost, damaged etc... packages.  In other words, buy the insurance.  I just got a kick ass rate and am very happy to extend it to you all!!

Insurance cost is $2.40 for up to 10 miners ($1000 of declared value).  This is 0.028 btc and the minimum if you are adding insurance.
cost of insuring each additional miner beyond 10 is $0.24 or 0.00282353 btc.
so for 11 miners for example (N=11), cost would be (N*0.00282353)= (11*0.00282353) where N is the number of units ordered.  If N is less than or equal to 10, then the insurance cost is fixed at 0.028 btc

Handling and processing is a flat rate of .10 btc per order.  (this pays for a hired person, yes, this has created a small job (for now)  Grin )

so for example, if you order 10 miners with insurance, the cost is:
.94*10+.09(shipping)+.028(insurance)+.10(handling)= 9.618 or 0.9618 per miner.
if you order 10 without insurance, the cost is: .94*10+.09+.10= 9.59 or 0.959 per miner.

if you order 11 with insurance: .94*11 +0.0(free shipping) + 11*0.00282353(insurance) + .10 (handling) = 10.47105884 or 0.95191444 per miner.
if you order 11 without insurance: .94*11 +0.0(free shipping) + 11*0.0(insurance, i'm not responsible) + .10 (handling) = 10.44000001 or 0.94909091 per miner.

Note, local pickup is no longer available for orders less than 50 units.

Ordering:

There is one common payment address: 19yY9KYsmktKpRpUBXwxCimz2iqRMvQtKw

To buy:

pick the number of ASICMiner Block Erupter USBs to order: N.
send the appropriate amount C based on Pricing paragraph above.

post your order in the following format: forum_nick; N; C; sending_address; Y/N (insurance flag)
ensure the sending address is under your control, so you can sign with it in case of disputes

Shipment:
The USB miners will be shipped to you within 1 day of me receiving them.

Communication:
I live in Chicago (CST time zone: UTC/GMT -5 hours) and have a day-job that allows me ample time to devote to this endeavor. I do sleep at night, so if I don't answer at night, please be patient.  I'm pretty open and transperant with info.  I post it as soon as I have it, I do not withhold from anyone.  Please respect everyone's time.

Cheers,

Canary

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

well it is a heck of a rumor.

if true I could get 36 sticks at .1btc each.  actually a smart thing to do if they do it.  although it would mean a lot of work for the resellers.  I wonder if they would go back all the way to buy 1 .

Interesting...  I think all group orders are gonna hit a dead stop soon. Cheesy

why?

Due to the rumors around the price reduction / returning customer price.

If it is true, when does it go in effect, will it be retroactive to all group orders (does everyone have to hound the GO leaders?), if I have a group order in *right now* will they be honoring the .6 price, or will we be the last group to overpay and then our reward is being the last group to make it into the .1BTC lucky birds?

Not saying people will stop ordering, but I don't want to be the last guy that paid 2BTC for erupters before they dropped to 1BTC.  Nobody on this order does. Smiley

While I suppose the rumor could be half right and then you are stuck paying 1BTC vs 0.6BTC; I would say that the entire thing is either true or false. Meaning, if you buy a bunch now at 1BTC, you are entitled to that same amount at 0.1BTC, effectively making them 0.55BTC. So truthfully, anyone looking to do group buys shouldn't worry about it.

I guess the risk is, what if that rumor is not true? Then you're stuck with the units at 1BTC.  Suppose they drop it to .8 instead and offer no discount to prior customers... that's the real risk.
