Need help in understanding how to setup awesome miner with pools

I been trying new stuff and ran into this awesome miner GUI and I figured it looks nice
but I need some help to figure out how to setup that thing.....

For example the need for pools, as I want to be as various as Nicehash and enable changing to what
is profitable etc and then have the pool change that to bitcoins automatically before paying me the mining etc.

so, anyone kind enough to explain this to me without sarcasm and lots of trolling please
