1) isn't this illegal, or perhaps just immoral depending on what country you're in?  Perhaps I'm not global enough to see this as ok business practice.

2) isn't this a little late?  Sure, Avalon was cool 5 months ago.  I even wanted one, but now I prefer my BFL units...

3) Aren't other companies going to beat them to the next generation?

I suppose some more competition might be good, but probably not for the hardwarein my basement...

Power consumption & loyalty.  I believe they will stick with me as they continue to develop their next generation of technology... Avalon already has a clone...  but perhaps they will have an Avalon trade-in program.
