As you can see dump money is now flowing into the space, those that I pity are the new ones entering the space because those that entered early have already made money and won't be that hurt when the reality set in but those entering now will be very hurt

I don't think that something will happen legimately in the next year because even today about 4-5% people of this world are ennagage in cryptocurrency field , so we can understand that how many more people will come and the same thing will happen here

Here we should not consider it as pump like word with the legimate increase in price of the coin Because only few pump usually happens in this field and rest of other high potential coins are better for investment and analysis Because those all are having demand constantly legimately increase in price .

altcoin will pump in 2018 can be true, because altcoin predictions now have shown good price movements so I think if it will rise in 2018 but can not be predicted whether it can be very high or just rise slowly.

Look on coinmarketcap, everything is GREEN and have at least +20% just in few days, and I'm still sure that this is just a beginning.

I agree with this point of view. As you can see, 2017 is a beginning of Cryptocurrency when there are more and more people in the world attend virtual coins. And now, when they are more popular, coins market is becoming a stock market when investors spend their fund to get profit. The altcoins price will go up.

I think so, it already begin! All coins have around 500-100% profit.
It's a good chance Altcoins will have a great 2018, after all, we started with the right foot.

Overall, 2018 has the potential to become an amazing year in crypto as masses will join the market and capacity and therewith prices (of Btc and/or alts) will be able to strongly increase.

altcoin price can pump, but if bitcoin price still incraese, altcoin can dump

definately it would be a pump because more and more people are entering into crypto world and its a boom to the industry as you could see the market cap of all digital currecy been increasing from billion markets to trillion markets... thats the best proof for all of this

i can see how it can be true. the bitcoin growth has really been huge and that has introduced the whole concept and with it this rather big side-market to all the newcomers to bitcoin. most of them will seek out alternative coins and will start investing in them.
and with more newbies in the market and most of them desperate for making profit fast and getting rich over night, the pumpers will take advantage and the pumps can technically become so much bigger than previous years.

but i am afraid at the same time a big pump means a big dump too. you can see what happened to the altcoins when they got pumped big time this year. so many newbies lost a lot of money to this manipulating technique.

Yes, it will. But first we will see a huge correction closer to NY or right after it. I think that we do not need to buy alts right now because they can easily be at a highs.

Bitcoin growth is tremendous, so the dependence too seems growing. In the recent days majority of the altcoins have shown good signs of growth. When you look at today's growth on coinmarketcap very few has found declining in value. Hope this will continue with the upcoming years taking the altcoins too gain good market.

When large corporations decide not to invest in current altcoins but to create their own, this will create a huge drop in the value of alts. Until that point (or if corporations do invest in current crypto platforms) they will continue to rise at a huge rate.

Another reason is people want to get into crypto because of bitcoin, but they cannot buy bitcoin hence they are opting for some top alts.
Another important reason is high fees of bitcoin, which means small transactions are almost impossible, hence people are opting for alts.
So I agree, Alts are gonna have a great 2018.

For the growth of altcoins, new cash flows are needed. Let's speculate. In most cases, new private investors will buy bitcoin. Altcoins can be bought by bitcoin holders or financial institutions. I think both options are possible, but more I believe in the importance of the second. Most altcoins changed the trend in relation to bitcoin. I'm not considering the dollar price right now. Moreover, altcoins are of great practical value than bitcoin. There are already real technologies and systems that can be used in practice. I also consider the option of deep correction of bitcoins and panic sales for cutting hamsters, but in the growth of altcoins in 2018 I am sure.
