Hello every body!!

I was wondering if running a full Bitcoin node on my main computer @ home is a good idea or it's not safe?

Am I going to be a target for hacker that could enter my home network and compromise my computer?

Would it be safer to buy a computer and to use it only to run a full node or it won't change anything?

Thank you very much!!!

Running a full node improves your security in the sense that your node will have checked the blockchain first hand. But running any software can also have negative consequences. It's important to only install software from verified sources and to keep your software updated so as to avoid known vulnerabilities.
