Buy bitcoin as always this is the best crypto that everyone should have.  And as you plan of holding for years, what you need to know is bitcoin is good at it. Many bitcoin holders in the world are existing and everyone does prepare to have their own bitcoin that's good for holding for years.

If you are able to invest your fund bigger you can invest on bitcoin since its price is higher than other cryptos. I do agree that bitcoin has the potential to grow double the value in the chart what we are seeing now.
As you said many people holded their bitcoins in the hardware and holding it 60% percent of the coins what is mined already. Balance bitcoins only in the circulation so that is the reason always have the potential to find the bump more in the chart.
Other than bitcoin, you can prefer the ETH, ETC, LTC, DASH, ZEC, XMR and XRP. These will increase in the value or even mining difficulty also increase on these coins.

The potential has been seen and it's price is increasing like today it went on a correction and it is starting to pump again. The other coins that are indicated is also a good one, you just need to choose what you really like. I'll take on ETH and XMR if you want to diversify.

None of them. Not just like that.
The first rules are: "don't invest money you don't afford to lose" and "don't ask for investment advises from random people over the internet".
There are a lot of coins around here. Most are scam or bad projects. Some are good or even great projects. Do your own research, carefully, then invest. This way you are the only one to blame and this way you may have less chance for failure. Ah, and diversify. If you invest in 3 coins, or 10 coins, some will fall, some will grow, if you chose right most will give you good results.
Yes, this means a lot of work. But it worth it.

I suggest Ethereum because the price is suddenly hiking and then getting low. The good time is buy when the price is low and sell when the price increase, but it is better to hold. Grab the opportunity while eth is getting crazy.
