As title states I sent an original tx to an address and received 2 outputs 1 being my change address, 1 recipient. Paid 100 sat/byte stuck in mempool now unconfirmed for 30 hours. Fucked up didn't enable RBF....FML About 4, 5 hours ago I went to my electrum wallet rightclicked on unconfirmed tx>details>My change address

Next went to addresses tab found the last most recently used change address easy to tell because I knew balance rightclicked>send from> now I'm in send tab of my electrum wallet get fresh addy put it in the pay to field so I'm sending the change to myself and added a 500sat/byte large fee22$, 5 hours go by still both unconfirmed obviously child and parent tx, so now I increased fee to 800sat/byte...smh and its been 3 hours still unconfirmed so im totaling 55$ tx fee on 2 tx's still unconfirmed

Now that is a child pays for parent tx correct? CPFP, since I didn't have RBF enabled on parent tx I had to do CPFP, is there any calculator for CPFP FEES??, I read somewhere it has to do with ancestor fees in how a mining pool judges it's potential profitability to mine both unconfirmed txs in same block, any help from the non newbs will be obliged and anything that truly helps will be tipped. Well. I been here using btc as a medium of exchange for almost 5 years now, and I fucking love it, nvm the price rise it's utility is why it's just the beginning of this tech, anyway I need some pro help

Thanks
The block chain is the main innovation of Bitcoin. It is the first distributed timestamping system.

what you should know about these features such as RBF and CPFP is that not all miners implement them and in case of CPFP there are not clear rules about it like saying it should be paying this much fee or that much fee.
it just says it should cover both transactions.

at the present a high priority transaction needs to pay 640 satoshis/byte and your first transaction was paying 100 S/B that is 540 S/B lower than recommended. your second transaction should have paid 640 S/B but it is paying 800 S/B which is 260 S/B higher than recommended and that 260 is not covering the 540 difference from the first one.

lets say each of your transactions are 225 bytes. in order for a miner to mine 2 of your transactions which is 450 bytes you need to pay 450*640=288,000 satoshi but you are paying (225*100)+(225*800)=202,500 satoshi. as you can see it is not that low but it is not high priority either.
