When a coin constantly gets "checkpoint too old" it means to ME that the "developers" (term used loosely nowadays) are not doing their job or keeping up on their coin(s).  If you want people to have faith in your coin.. then this should never happen.  Just an opinion.  I also got the "checkpoint too old" when I "updated" this coin.

the update works perfect try again

I updated the client, but I'm getting the follow error: "WARNING: Checkpoint is too old. Redownload Blockcharin. If warning persist contact the Development Team."

I think you have to delete all but your wallet.dat from user >appdata >  roaming >  hobo and re-download the block chain.
I updated few days ago and the message has gone.

I was thinking that, maybe it kept the old blockchain some how from the previous version. I'll try it out later today.

Yep you need to redownload the chain as it has to catch the checkpoint when downloading to recognize it. To clear up the issues Ill try to help blunder setup broadcast checkpoints

Log has been sent.

I did get a moment to look it over. It seems you were generating a LOT of stake.

Ill look it over again but the issue isn't related to the caps dilemma at all Smiley

I brought up an old 1.0 wallet and indeed it is at the wrong diff.

If you are mining with the old wallet you are on the WRONG chain. Turn it off, remove everything but wallet.dat out of app/roaming and get the correct one.

If you don't do this you could lose your HBN if you transfer them, and your mined HBN will NOT be useable.

Hello,
Could someone please explain when I run the Wallet Client for this coin this address:
guta-dedykd.home.net.pl
and another one I didn't log.
Take all my Upload bandwidth?
Untill I kill their connection or quit the client?
Even if I kill their connection they reconnect in a matter of minutes and it starts again.

Is the stake working?

I redownloaded the block and it gave me a Mined income of .44 HBN.
I've got about 200-300 HBN that is at least 10-20 days old.

Nothing is in the staked balance, just the normal balance.

The wallet doesn't have to be open/running for the whole 10 day period does it?

.44 on 200 for 10 days is correct.

It will come in and out of stake balance fairly quickly.

That's .2% not 2%.

2% of 200 should be 4.

Hmm Ya, true. Which makes it only 7% a year.

First time looking at HBNs(or any crypto currency for that matter) cpp code, but this seems odd.

in main.ccp and .h

...

    static const int64 MAX_MINT_PROOF_OF_STAKE = 10 * CENT;
...

...
CBigNum bnRewardCoinYearLimit = MAX_MINT_PROOF_OF_STAKE; // Base stake mint rate, 100% year interest
...
CBigNum bnLowerBound = 10 * CENT; // Lower interest bound is 1% per year
       CBigNum bnUpperBound = bnRewardCoinYearLimit;

I think MAX_MINT_PROOF_OF_STAKE should be 100 * CENT

or not like I said first time looking..

So, it is an error in the OP (2% stake every 10 days!(100%) in a year holding your Nickels in your wallet.), or an error in the code?
Sad.

That seems about right, unfortunately, based on the stake I've generated the last few weeks. I was thinking it was a bit less than it should have been...

Talked with mullick a bit. Seems my idea for a fix should work. I'll try to work it out with the developers so we can issue a fix here in the near future. I'd also expect a checkpoint update as well.

So hold tight for now. If you want out, feel free to dump at cryptys, or PM me. I'll give you bits on the dollar, but at least you will have something.. Smiley
