Tonight I finally decided to order a 5GH/s machine from BFL. After looking into it further it looks like the profit will be slashed in half in about a week.. by the time I get my machine i'm afraid any mining efforts will be worthless. Am I too late for the party? should I cancel my order?  Huh

Yes.
You are late.

Why not ask here before purchase?
But it won't be too bad.  Grin

BFL is scam, and chances are high that you will never receive the thing.

Common sense would be to do the research first and then jump on something. you could've bought bitcoins for the money you wasted and that would've been the right cause of action.

I'm not sure what happened to my post I made below the quote, but I was wondering why you said that BFL was a scam.

A bit late - but at least you can contribute to the network (when you eventually get the device).
