Interesting report, but I don't need US government to tell me that they exist or no. We can't be alone in space. There is theory that we are just computer program by some other specie. Anyway we are not alone. Probably some cells from which we origin also came from somewhere in space because our planet is pretty young when it comes to other parts of what we can see.

I think that they have always existed, only that the governments, and specially those guys from the FBI and the NSA are trying to hide it from us, can you even imagine how much chaos will it make if we discover that they really exist? i can not even imagine it by myself.

Why chaos? I don't think so. Normal people accept alliens. Only religious fanatics will not but they are not so powerful as early and can be a huge problem.

Mr. Reid, who retired from Congress this year, said he was proud of the program. “I’m not embarrassed or ashamed or sorry I got this thing going,” Mr. Reid said in a recent interview in Nevada. “I think it’s one of the good things I did in my congressional service. Two other former senators and top members of a defense spending subcommittee — Ted Stevens, an Alaska Republican, and Daniel K. Inouye, a Hawaii Democrat — also supported the program. Mr. Stevens died in 2010, and Mr. Inouye in 2012.
While not addressing the merits of the program, Sara Seager, an astrophysicist at M.I.T., cautioned that not knowing the origin of an object does not mean that it is from another planet or galaxy. “When people claim to observe truly unusual phenomena, sometimes it’s worth investigating seriously,” she said. But, she added, “what people sometimes don’t get about science is that we often have phenomena that remain unexplained.”
James E. Oberg, a former NASA space shuttle engineer and the author of 10 books on spaceflight who often debunks U.F.O. sightings, was also doubtful. “There are plenty of prosaic events and human perceptual traits that can account for these stories,” Mr. Oberg said. “Lots of people are active in the air and don’t want others to know about it. They are happy to lurk unrecognized in the noise, or even to stir it up as camouflage.”
Still, Mr. Oberg said he welcomed research. “There could well be a pearl there,” he said.

I am also convince that aliens do exist in this universe. I also read several articles about aliens. There are many artifacts and evidences that they exist. Even in ancient times, from their paintings and drawings, aliens were seen.

YES aliens does exist. There are proofs that alien lives here a long time ago. Writings and drawings are seen  on the egyptian pyramid. There are unexplained stone carvings and unidentifies flying objects. Search it on youtube and you will see that they really exist.The goverment was trying to hide it to avoid panic. There's actually no evidence about aliens to be existent beings , but there's is a lot of proof that USA is a money laundering machine..

On a side note, if they did, why would they ever come down here to earth? The religious will force them to convert, or kill them off. The scientist will gut them open, in order to experiment on them, and see what makes them tick. we live in a huge universe. the universe is filled with many unknowns. it is not logical to think that we live alone in this universe. I believe there are many lives within many planets. I want to meet aliens too.

What a convenient way to make tax-payers dollars disappear! Create a secret government program that you can spend millions dollars on. That's a classic move. It does make you wonder what they're actually spending the time and money on.

I think that considering the seemingly infinite amounts of starts and universes, there's definitely a chance that there are other planets out there with intelligent life. The intriguing thing is that if the aliens come visit us first, they are much more advanced than we are technologically. It doesn't seem like we'll get to be visiting any other aliens anytime soon.
