I didn't buy any Bitcoin cash so for me, I don't think I will enter  this late in the day. Maybe if the price pulls back I might get a little bit and hold a bit as a hedge but I really don't like the way Verge and Jihan Wu have manipulated this for their own gain to such a degree and messed up the Bitcoin and Altcoin markets, disturbing the peace lol in my books, anyway what's done is done now.

I thought the same thing when Bitcoin was $5000.

Coinbase has allowed fiat to flow into Bitcoin for years.  I wonder what will happen now that Cash has been added and rumors of dozens of coins being added in 2018; will this be a long draw down of Bitcoin's value?

The loudest rumor is about Ripple XRP that would come to CoinBase wallets

Bitcoincash has placed itself to be a stable and useable alternative to bitcoin. Litecoin and Ethereum were too unavoidably popular.
But adding a dozens of coins would be counter-initiative for coinbase and Gdax. It would make it similar to any other exchange.
And I don't think coinbase would rush in that direction.

I don't see them dropping all the new coins as options at the same time. I think that they will spread them out and add them one by one. Each new coin that comes on can expect a massive pump in the days after listing.

There are still people trying to get into this thing that have a ton of money...


 

And seems to be a working strategy for coinbase. One of the most profitable strategy.

They bought a huge amount of bitcoincash before making the announcement. And they sold them at nearly a double price and with the fees.

So, adding a new coin will always be a Christmas to coinbase.

Yes, except bitcoin cash BCH be added by coinbase, they have added ethereum classic ETC to be traded on their platform too, should the coinbase add more alternative coins in the future because today many new digital coins exchangers be built by community of digital coins, if the coinbase doesn't support for other alternative coins especially the popularity 10 top of alternative coins on https://coinmarketcap.com/ soon or slow there are posibility coinbase will be replaced by news exchangers.

ok so think BCH pumped due to that news on the net relate to co-founder support it, also due to it getting listed on coinbase .. even as WITHDRAWAL only, i believe everyone suspects coinbase is going to open it for trading.. which would make it BIG
BCH despite being ATH, if coinbase opens it for trading... then this ATH may get higher but just my guess

I am glad that I bought mine last week in anticipation of this event. BCH is a no brainer for any crypto investor. Fees are next to nothing.. reminds me of what bitcoin used to be like.

Soon enough people will realize that blockstream / core derailed bitcoin. Where are those low fees that were promised ?

This is good news for bch holders out there. Apparently, i am not holding any bch for now and i am still on the verge of truly understanding the importance of this event and how it will affect other coins out there. However, this turn out of event is probably a good thing and will eventually provide us with great profit gains in the near future. Now i know why bitcoin has been falling way to deep lately.

Yes this is the biggest rumour that I have been hearing off.

I hope this will push core devs to raise block size limit too, and maybe accelerate LN devs as well. Bitcoin clearly cannot fulfill the demand alone.
And after a while both BCH and BTC will face scaling issue again...

Coin base and blockchain has seen bch as a potential coin and this has caused the price multiply so fast, and still waiting for another surprised make by bch, I want to see which site or company will accept bch, hopefully this rising is not just another whale pumping, and it able to stabilize

From what I understand, Coinbase users have not been credited their BCH yet. On January 1st they will release 7 million BCH to their users.

Well yeah it's really a huge step for bitcoin cash and it's also a good sign that there will be more to unfold with it.
Actually, I'm not a believer of this coin and I actually hate it, maybe because the people behind it want to steal the throne from bitcoin and now that bitcoin cash is gaining also some interest from the people no doubt that the price will continue to surge.
