Hi all. So I'm in Canada, and my bank (ING Direct) apparently stopped doing any wire transfers (inbound or outbound) a while back, so my options to send money to Mt Gox, BitStamp, etc, are somewhat limited. In addition, ING's conversion rate to/from CAD and USD isn't that great. So I signed up for accounts with XE.com (about whom I've heard nothing but good things), CanadianForex.ca when that didn't pan out (for reasons detailed below), and am now contemplating TransferMate.
Now for reasons I assume to be related to anti-laundering legislation, every one of the above sites requires me to detail my reasons for converting and sending money. I, of course, told the truth, and explicitly stated to every site that I intend to convert and wire CADs and USDs, for the purpose of further conversion to/from BitCoin and/or similar, but haven't yet told Transfermate my purpose because I imagine they'll tell me what the other two told me: that "transfers related to digital currencies such as BitCoin are prohibited by our service, therefore would not be possible" (in the XE.com rep's words).
In my search across the internet I've found nothing detailing this event occurring with any other person, and have asked the xe.com rep to clarify and/or explain the policy. As I stated previously, it seems that many people have used xe.com to send money to mt gox, etc. As CanadianForex appears to have a similar policy, I ask: What, if anything, did I do wrong? Am I honestly supposed to lie about my reasons (I'd rather not!)?
Thanks in advance for your advice.

As an update, XE.com got back to me and said that "we are a bank account to bank account international transactions provider. Please note that as we do not provide our services for digital currency purchases, unfortunately, your application with us has been cancelled."
Thoughts and advice appreciated.

I cant wait till the localbitcoin thing to take off once more people get miners True enough probably won't take off for a while yet small retailers are first since they don't want to pay visa premium fees to maximize profits then we get higher adoption gradually
