I mean Bitcoin Cash is a clear example here. Pretty much the same protocol, just the block size is bigger. Other then that, I think most use some more ASIC resistant PoW by now, but there is probably some more with SHA256 PoW.

There's actually multiple sites which lists alot of altcoins that are using the same algorithm as bitcoin (SHA256).

One of those sites is http://altcoins.com/

Quote
Altcoins using SHA-256, the same hashing algorithm as Bitcoin.

NMC – Namecoin
PPC – Peercoin
DVC – Devcoin
TRC – Terracoin
BTE – Bytecoin
IXC – Ixcoin
I0C – I0coin
FRC – Freicoin
XJO – Joulecoin
ZET – Zetacoin
ASC -AsicCoin
DEM – Deutsche eMark
UNO – Unobtanium
PT – Platinum Coin
BLC – Blakecoin
RKC – Reikicoin
TIT – Titcoin

Now there's probably way more unpopular altcoins out there using the same algorithm, but these are listed as the best known ones. (Although i myself find these pretty unpopular already aswell..  Roll Eyes)

Bitcoin's Proof-of-Work (PoW) algorithm is SHA256 which used to verify transactions much faster. However, that is not the case that we are experiencing right now. Anyways, below are the list of coins uses the same algorithm like BTC:

Acoin
AnarchistsPrime
Argentum (ARG)
BattleCoin (BCX)
Benjamins (BEN)

I would agree with this, while Bitcoin creates by Satoshi another Bitcoin Cash was started by Bitcoin miners and developers equally concerned with the future of the cryptocurrency, and its ability to scale effectively. They claim Bitcoin Cash has implemented an increased block size of 8mb, to accelerate the verification process, with an adjustable level of difficulty to ensure the chain’s survival and transaction verification speed, regardless of the number of miners supporting it.

Alternate cryptocurrencies can be mined using the same hardware as for mining Bitcoins (mostly SHA-256 alt coins). While bitcoin mining is going to use FPGA and ASIC devices, scrypt based alt coins can be mined using GPU cards.
Altcoins using SHA-256, the same hashing algorithm as Bitcoin include:
•   NMC – Namecoin
•   PPC – Peercoin
•   DVC – Devcoin
•   TRC – Terracoin
•   BTE – Bytecoin
•   IXC – Ixcoin
•   I0C – I0coin
•   FRC – Freicoin
•   XJO – Joulecoin
•   ZET – Zetacoin
•   ASC -AsicCoin
•   DEM – Deutsche eMark
•   UNO – Unobtanium
•   PT – Platinum Coin
•   BLC – Blakecoin
•   RKC – Reikicoin
•   TIT – Titcoin
