AMD Ryzen 1700x is a very powerful CPU
what crypocurrency do you suggest to mine with this CPU
i was thinking about Zcash but i couldnt find any benchmark so to see whats the h/s
The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

Zcash is on equihash algo

I am not sure this algo is very cpu friendly

Cryptonight (algo of monero) is designed to advantage CPU
