Why so pessimistic? Youtube has shown time and time again that it does not care for its streamers, and not to mention it's restrictive video content. The people are in need of a new platform.

especially if you, as a video content provider, would like to offer a bit more - in terms of content but also ads - so people don't have to wait for the actual video to start.

I hate those ads at the beginning - and then when I think that's it there are in-video ads which you can't skip. oh the horror.

Well of course this is not short term project,that aims to overthrown YouTube,that was not the intention and it woulde be crazy even try ti.But in the long term,there is always a chance.

Don't think of it as something to replace YT, rather something that will bring an equality and competition to that market.

It will be paralelle to youtube, and it will give more worth to lesser known video platforms

It's about time YT gets competition. It has been tried before but back then YT used to pay more money to their streamers. Things have changed and there is some free space created for new platforms.

I agree,this is welcomed change,and upgrade over YouTube.Noones domination lasts forever,and those who do not adapt will be replaced.We saw that many times in IT industry.

The good thing is that it doesnt pose a threat to youtube, but its more like an upgrade.

Now with IVEP we will have product placement instead Reminds me of that one scene in Wayne's World. But it's better that way than having to get forced to go through all the ads.

I remember that scene, they are shooting a movie or something It might seem like this is taking the piss out of the idea, but product placement is, in all honesty, much better than ads.

Im not sure it would be worth it to try go around that,better play it safe and follow the rules.This project is too serious and too good to get ruined by some copyright lawsuit.It would be a shame.

Maybe they could but only when they make a name for themselves and that will take some time. It depends on specific restrictions a certain region has and it's a regulatory thing so I can't really say what would take to change those.

there's no way a serious business would bypass a law in some country, so I guess regional restrictions will alway be present.
