If you are using the original bios from your card as modifying source bios, it would create a stable hashrate. One of mistake that makes your modded cards unstable is flashing your cards using different bios version. Stabilities more important than hashing speed (IMO), for Polaris 4Gb cards, 28++ Mhs stable in Ethash is good enough.

if only for reference it's ok but if you suggest the other for using your modifying bios, is not recommended. because every bios have the different version.

Of course, its always best to modify original BIOS, when I used to sell bios-es I always asked
for original BIOS even if I worked on "same" card before

However, if P/N from bios and one inside your card match, its pretty probable it will work OK

Now is clearly.
but sometimes I'm feel confusing, newest PBE version come s with one click strap copy but many people here still trying to flashing their Polaris cards with downloaded bios from anywhere.

Probably because those straps have their own set of problems sometimes? Smiley

If you read posts here a lot, you'll often find that people sometime get unstable
cards after using one-click bios patch straps

but safer than using downloaded bios for somewhere, this's important to gain our skill and experience. for the first time using One-click PBE and get unstable hashrate it's fine.
we would get more experience from those, for example, 4GB Polaris cards would more stable with copying strap 1500, so we could use PBE 1.6.6 and so on. after getting much experience we would good enough for using manually copy strap of PBE.
