Hi, I'm attempting a child-pays-for-parent transaction in Electrum for a stuck transaction that I sent from a ledger nano Segwit wallet at 260sat/byte.  When I try to put a proper fee of 800+ sat/byte I get an error that says Max fee exceeded.  Anyone know why it won't let me put higher?  I'm kinda worried that I'm just out of luck on this one.

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Is the total fee you want larger than the change that was left from that transaction?

Maybe, I wasn't really sure on all the details, but the network did finally calm down and it went through at 260 sat/byte after nearly 4 days.  Thanks.
