To treat them like Young adults would require them to be already adults, which they are not, this is why they are called childen. And is most of the world they are not legally responsible of their actions. As young adults they would have to go to jail for their mistakes.
They are called children because they're small. That doesn't mean they're any less intelligent than adults. Some of the most intelligent people I've met were kids who would've put the vast majority of adults to shame. There's absolutely nothing of relevance that changes once you become an adult.

Many people treat kids like inferior beings, using "cute" voice, not giving them a chance to say their word, make a decision and such. Do you think such behavior might bring harm to the development of their personality, and they should be instead treated like adults, but just less experienced, so with understanding and patience?
Kids are kids and adults are adults, two different time steps in human life.

It depends on the situation. I prefer treating kids as young adults for them to learn and be independent. Making them responsible for the things that they have done . They must follow the house rules and have discipline. In terms of celebrating we should always treat them as children. They will be more happy that way. Them being cute are one of the nicest things of thr world that can make you smile.

I guess it depends on the situation we treat kids as they really are but we also help to train them as young as they are to make simply decision for their own, be responsible at little task they can and be accountable to any wrong things they've done in that way they will learn at the same time preparing them when they become adult not pampering them out so much that they become spoil brat kids.

Treat them according to their age. Let them be happy or pained is needed but never make them feel hate. Let kids be kids. Let them feel that they are kids.

Because sometimes adult like so much when they do such things to their kids but kids felt more pampered and there's nothing wrong with that provided that you won't do it over and over again.. there's certain age to do that but when they beginning to grow up they should learn little by little be responsible, to do the things they can and also freedom to choose to give them a chance to be adult in their own kids mind to express their feelings with certain restrain..strong but gentle in handling them so that they will learn the value of life and appreciate them as they grow up.

Everything has its time. Children should feel responsible for their actions. Childhood should end in the kindergarten. There the child becomes an independent small person

I think they must treated as normal children for it accurates their age. At tgeir young age, they must be treated as their age for them to enjoy life as kids. Let's allow them to play and enjoy their lives as kids for there will come a time that they will reach the age of being adult.

Kids are kids and they should be treated as kids and nothing more or less, Being an adult is a privilege and once they attain that status of adulthood or start behaving as adults, thats when we will treat them as adults.

I support...if the children had to be treated as adults - they would be born immediately adults...and since they are born children, then the attitude to them must be different

I treat my boys like a child when they were young. Sometimes i let them play with their friends, and let them eat what was in our table.

I think this all depends on the adults, how reasonable they are and how well they can read people and adjust to them. Someone who doesn't have that ability probably should not have kids, and when they do, will not provide them the best opportunity for their kids, while at the same time producing more and more kids.

I guess, the treatment varies from the parents and the child as well. There are children who is very easy to pick up some things that doesn't need some guidance from the parents but there are some children that always seek some guidance from parents.

We can do both. It depends on the situation. We can treat them as child and adult. Express lur effection and caring are importand. Teach them how to be discipline and responsible are important too. So, we just need to find our eay how to do it. We can't always treat them like a child because it will make them not independent. But we can't also always treat them like an adult, it will make them selfish. We just need to do it in balance.

I treat my children like young adults. I'm training them to be adults when they get older so why not start now? I think it makes the children more well behaved so you can't just say they're just kids being kids.

For me we should let them experience being kids because if we treat them like adults they will be deprived of the things that they will supposed to experience during this stage which might affect them psychologically.

Kids are fragile beings that is why we should treat them as inferior because they are just that. We can not just impose adult things to a child's mind because they cannot handle it. I say we slowly teach kids things they need to know as they grow up and teach them patiently.
