1757$ is 1757%, which is crazy gain for 1 Year.
You can only dream about it at the stock market, and it will take you years to  achieve such percentage.
I think that those numbers just show that we are in a bubble, it is impossible to have such a gain on all the coins, seems like all numbers are winning numbers, everybody wins.
Why? because new fool money enters the market, and not only that, those who purchased the coins just hold it and won't let it go, makes the supply go down.

That is why I am planning to invests in atleast top 5 alt coins in the market rankings and wait until the end of 2018, if somehow they managed to gain profits then I would stop holding them, its true that altcoins have greater potential compared to btc because of the very big price difference.

But there is another side to the coin. It's very easy to talk about events that have already occurred. And if it were not the coins you wrote that were profitable coins, they were quite different. You would at best remain with your 100 dollars (and most likely these 100 dollars would have turned into zero). And bitcoin has steadily increased in price and the main thing is predictable.

Yes you are right. If you look at the percentage and growth, bitcoin is not the most profitable currency. Just the cost of 20 000 for 1 coin is simply shocking. The brain turns off, eyes want 20,000, and not 70 bucks for NEO, and arms tend to buy bitcoin. If you look at the cold calculation, the altcoins are more profitable, although their price is very far from $ 10 000+.

Agree with your post, but I'm not long term investor, just trader. I'm not rich guy with a lot of money to invest, so I need to do something worth to collecting fund and we call it trader. From your post, I agree with the mindset but " hold " that long very risky. If I take wrong coin it will be disaster and lost all my money. We have different way but same direction, thank you anyway.

A very informative insight, cheers. Agreeing with you, tho BTC is really the mother of all the cryptocurrencies, there are still many digital coins that has a potential to increase in time because of the well-established platform. Don't stick with just btc, just be cautious enough in trading and picking a good coin. Investing in top 10 coins has a high probability of profit.

We do not know much and can not foresee. When bitcoin was 1k too, no one thought that in such a short time it would increase several times. Altcoins are very promising now and your list can be supplemented with other coins and bring the facts.

Yes altcoin really amazing can make many people changed their life. Now also there are new many altcoin that has good potential, and this year will be more and more altcoin that will give big return. About 8 month ago i was start just by $500 to make investment in crypto but now i have money about $50,000, and only in crypto i can make it.

This is a very good commend eldrin. I've noticed it some months ago (I'm new in cryptos) and this is actually my tactic.
I've split initially my portfolio into 3 parts 60-20-20 ( BTC-ETH-LTC) and it's obvious today that the growth isn't equal.
Three months later the portfolio is 48-28-24 and the value is tripled. I think if it worths selling a portion of one coin to keep the balance or take some of the profit to invest in other coins too.

The chances of finding a successful investment in XVG is very slim. I don't know of anyone that became a millionaire on that coin.

Yes past finished we cant go and make it happen again so now i am investing on Dimcoin , Electroneum , DCN and TRX and leaving to check after one year . Lets see what happens my 1000$ will turnout to be.
