Woow, sounds awsome!
In the video they talk about Bitcoin, saying it can store your wallet address to receive payment. Wouldn't it be fantastic if it could store your private key too, thus being able to make payments as well?
Ya that part of was the coolest part. Yeah I agree about storing your private key.

That might be quite risky for anything but smallest amount of coins, since the private key would be readable for anyone getting close enough. Think about using this in a store: you would have to trust cashier withdrawing right sum.

And where would the change go, back to a new key generated by the cashier machine? What if NFC link is interrupted while writing the new key to the ring, would the BTC be lost?

Yes, true. I believe he mentioned another way around that even.

Do you have to use the "alpha man" size ring in order for it to work with the S4 or does the regular size work as well?  What about the S3?

Good question to ask.  You can reach out to them via email here:
John@mclear.co

Thanks, I'll shoot them an email.

Hardforks aren't that hard. It’s getting others to use them that's hard.

Exactly, that's why it should be possible to shield in some way the ring whenever one doesn't want to perform a transaction.

I bought one.

There are two sides to this ring. An inner and an outer. Each side has a separate NFC chip. The inner is designed to be private. It's shielded by your palm. The outer is designed to be public.

Wow, seriously? Could you please post some pics and, more important, your impression once you will actually use it?

Get a tattoo with public key QR? Or embed NFC chip inside palm?  Cool

Once I receive it I sure can.

I was one of the first in the kickstarter so I will be receiving mine in September (yay Erli Bird). The inventor has a number of great video demonstrations:

Still 19 days left if you want to buy one
