I've been hearing and reading rumors that lightning network could lead to a layer 2 centralization? But at times i can't believe what others call Centralisztion.

Yes I Know a bank or company can open a payment channel but in my eyes, that doesn't make it centralized. I think certain people throw the centralization word around loosely because they have never really experienced true centralization.

any thoughts?
The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

For me calling this centralisation is just FUD. Often targeted by BCH supporters who won't be able to utilise lightning network.

The group of people that use it for fast transactions may not care that much, they just want their money or want to send their money.

If that is the case then I think they should quit into the crypto industry. What is the point that you are joining the crypto  market but would have a centralized set up? The whole point of crypto is for the decentralization. I think most people wont jump into this plan given the current set up.
