Yes this is too surreal to be real yet too real to ignore. Any disruptive technology being visualised has it's justified share of doubts and questions, however, it only adds to the value it can eventually provide.

The DDLT Blockchain is to counter the US$360Bn annual drug counterfeiting market. A million lives saved every year (WHO estimates) if the counterfeiting is halted.
This is how the blockchain will work:
- A message with a hash containing all information is broadcast on the network once drug is manufactured.
- The drug cover also displays the hash tag with manufacturing and drug details.
- On shipment to the each distributor in the chain a new hash is generated which is linked to the previous hash. A private key is used to decode the message on the public key.
- The end user buying the drugs receives the retailers’ public key on his invoice. A verification can thus be done to verify the originality of the drug.
