And I am sure I am not the only one who can't afford to hold 1 bitcoin. So the door is closed for us or at least for me. So my question is crypto currency should I focus on? And how can I earn them?

You don't need a whole bitcoin. It's divisible by 100,000,000 for a reason... even at $100 million each, you could still buy $1 worth.

You just need to pay attention.

That was not my point. I know I can buy small amount of bitcoin but the problem is now is that the bitcoin price is so high that it has become impossible for people like me to get a hold of it and people with money are only pushing the price. I don't see any future of myself with bitcoin because of the high value of it. So which crypto currency can I focus on next?

I would suggest playing your money on smaller coins and taking the profit into bitcoin, or you could also buy affordable amount of BTC and hold it, maybe it will give you more short term profit. Speaking of altcoins I could recomment focus either on big ones like ETH or LTC or check smaller ones like dash or iota or ripple. But you should invest only amount that you can afford to loose. Always bear risks in mind

When I first got any crypto I thought that too, it's an easy misconception to have!
Psychologically it can feel more reassuring to have whole coins, but really it makes no difference.

Ripple is owned by google if I am not wrong and read that it can be manipulated so is that a good option? Also about the other currencies you have mentioned, can you also please share what is the best way to earn some? When I first got any crypto I thought that too, it's an easy misconception to have!

I find value in your post but can't understand it. It because of my lack of knowledge. Can you please describe a little?

BTC is expensive for 1 BTC yes but then buy 0.1 instead? I have 0.2 and it around 5% of my portfolio. But I am fine with it and I bought it when price for 1 BTC was around $4,000 so that is still great gains from that purchase. Transaction fees are high for transferring for low amounts of BTC, but you should just buy and hold and then we are talking about one transaction fee.

[/quote] It's as simple as I wrote it It feels more real if you have 1 whole coin instead of 0.02 or whatever amount you have - but it makes no difference really, you still get the same percentage gains

Everyone makes the same percentage if they buy and sell at the same time, no?

Does that mean gold is too expensive because 1 ton of it is too much? No, because you'd just break it down to ounces, grams, etc. Its price is irrelevant to getting in. If you have $1, you can buy $1 worth. Whether that is 0.000001 BTC or 10000 BTC doesn't matter because at the time of purchase, it's exactly the same value you're getting.

You don't need to buy or mine a whole bitcoin to get into the game. You can trade or invest with a fraction of Bitcoin like investing 1K or 2K, even less.

It may be divisible but the end of the day you try buying $1 of bitcoin anywhere.. the fee would be more than you would get.
Bitcoin may be great but the fees are killing it... Simple

I think what the OP is asking for it is not about 1 BTC fractions but what others coins to focus on, so my recommendation is to take a look at Litecoin (LTC) and Monero (XMR). Besides Bitcoin those are the ones i like.
