HODLing has always been the lucrative tactic. Look at the charts. Would you be up or down if you always HODLed?

I do not know why people keep attributing this to Christmas. A fall can happen anytime and we have had some huge percentage dips even in this year alone and previous years that was not even at the end of the year.

Nevertheless, there really is no need for anyone to panic, it is the way things are meant to be after some parabolic bullish move and now we just hope that the scaling issue even come by to save the day to see some bulls moving in. Because everything is temporary.

The bulls were temporary and definitely the bears will also have some time to go and rest as well. This is a very fluctuated market and we already know the reason why that is but for now, it is something we have to keep living with as it would still continue until the scaling issue is solved and we get to see the main value of bitcoin and not just some greedy set of people trying to opt in for the profit.

Yeah, this year has been crazy experience with big movements in one direction and the other, I think right now people are just taking a rest, and are recharging their batteries to come back with a huge strength in the next year, so I'm not worried about what it is happening right now.

thank you for giving us a motivation because some of us now including me are still pretty nervous and worried about the current state of bitcoin because bitcoins price is still dropping like a bomb from time to time and yet it drives me sometimes to panic but im still holding for my dear life until january 2018 because i think this dip is just a seasonal effect of december but at soon as 2017  has passed bitcoin will hopefully recover and willl be back again to the game for another new season.

Sooner or later btc will stabilize in a way and then continue its upward trend so just sit tight and enjoy the holidays instead of stressing yourself out

This new trend of alts market going up is quite awesome. It's another opportunity for the traders to invest in the potential coins. BTC market cap has decreased from 60% in the mid of December 38% till December 31. This shift of market cap is clearly showing the growth of altcoins. Altcoin such as ripple and cardano are on fire. I bought XRP in November at $0.13 and now it's price is above $2, this price increase is adorable.

That is easy for you to say if you are not holding a very large amount that was bought on $16,000 - $20,000, and now seeing your investment reduced by almost 50%.

To begin with, it would be very foolish for someone to invest a very large amount on the peak of price.

If (IF) they did, i am sure they're very able investors and have foreseen something that we've failed to, they must be holding their bitcoins for this. Remember, you only loose when you sell below of what you buy, i would rather hold forever than to loose. To begin with, i won't ever invest in bitcoin at a peak, i think i've gained this much trading sense over the few years of my experience.

I am not denying the fact that there aren't any foolish people like this, i personally know a person who took massive loss in this bloom, i tried to help him but he never payed heed to me, i guess old lads can't gulp down the concept of cryptos correctly.
