Hi all, my trade is a CNC Machine programmer (Fanuc/Mazatrol) but currently working as a Mech Design Engineer, but I have recently started learning Python Programming. I am just wondering if anyone here does both types of programming who can tell me the best way to approach this new language. I know the two are totally different with regards to their operations but there must be similarities too. It would also be cool to know that there are CNC programmers in here
Also, when I first started writing long hand Fanuc machine programs I was unaware of the software that automates a lot of the donkey work in programming such as EdgeCAM AlphaCAM MasterCAM (offline programming), is there such a thing for computer programming?
