Dynamic fees in Electrum but still "unconfirmed" transaction

hi all,

all is in the title.
My electrum is configured 2.7.9 with dynamic fees option activated since the beginning.
My transaction used to be 1 Hours long, for the longest.
but yesterday I launched one around 18:00 GMT, and today it is still unconfirmed 20 hours later.

I thought that dynamic fees should avoid this. But apparently not.
In addition to that it seems that my Electrum version does not have the Coin tab that should allow me to do a "Child pay for parents" action.
