"Bitcoin $500,000 in three years" is a very low predictions to Me. Having seeing that the current growth if sustain by 2020 we should be above  $500,000. Bitcoin get great potential for growth in future and we cannot underestimate this potential as 2017 has proof to all of us that Bitcoin can progress without the help or adoption of governments and financial expert who has been predicting doom for Bitcoin and has been saying Bitcoin is a bubbles.$500,000 must be cross in 3 years to come. Too optimistic speculation for me in this moment when we are at 15k$ level.This year was great for BTC in terms of price growth,the question is whether at least part of this growth happen in next year-if not then 500k$ in three years is just a nice dream.I personally think about 100k in that time period,because that is much more realistic.I think when BTC scalability problem is solved with Lightning Network we can expect big things,until then many small investors will turn more to other coins just because of lower fee and faster transaction.

Well for me its a very high prediction because it may not be possible for every year to have this high returns especially when we have now so many other coins which is very easy for transfers  and low network fees. Now to make more returns people are investing and buying different altcoins thus the demand may fall a bit for the btc now.

This amount is very high for me. But if you look to the future, then everything is real. And if this currency so grows, then many will just become rich.

$500K is a very large number. Not impossible but it's a very large number.
That price would imply nearly a successful mass adoption of bitcoin.
I think $100K is more likely.... it's more moderate, implies a 50% mass adoption.

There were so many predictions been made in the past few months because everybody wants to be right in the future, but the guys that are making these predictions didn't understand the bitcoin technical problems such as high transaction fee and slow transaction problem. without these issues, bitcoin will surely reached any level based on their prediction, but man, bitcoin is now suffering because of these issues and the future of course.

Bitcoin's limitations only form an obstacle for further growth in the very short term. It hopefully won't take another year before we finally have Lightning Network tackling all Bitcoin's current annoyances. If Bitcoin's price for that reasons falls down while LN still hasn't been implemented yet, at least use it in your advantage to accumulate more coins. Where a lot people see the dropping price as a negative event, others look forward to further drops since it offers them the lower entry points they were so desperately looking for. On the other hand, we should be happy that the price isn't going up much further, because honestly, Bitcoin in current form doesn't really reflect being worth $20,000 per unit.

Hope this happen as many are becoming aware of bitcoin and blockchain technology all over the world. However, since CME listed bitcoin among there trading tools, we have started witnessing serious drop in bitcoin pricing and we may still experiencing a serious dump again as bitcoin might be heading towards $10,000 expecting another push towards $20,000 towards January next year. $500,000 in three years is highly achievable.

I think it's clear and easy to see that if bitcoin transaction fees and speed are not improved then bitcoins growth cannot progress. If bitcoin can resolve these things in the short term then the price can recover and we can return to a bullish market and potentially one day reach such prices.
